Hi Darren. Love your work. Always helpful 👍 I can't find anything about this question anywhere. I have just been offered to study biomed at Melb uni. But I am waiting for Monash med offer as this year all courses come before Monash med. Should I accept the biomed at Melb first? Or ignore it? As I don't want to end up no course to study if my application to Monash med is not successful.

Thanks David! Definitely check with your school’s career advisor. I had a similar issue and talked to them but the situation may be different now. When do you have to accept the Melbourne offer by? Seems a bit weird that it would be before Monash offers come out.

Ah exam season is everything! Finishing year 10, my worst exam (which was still alright) was English. We had Animal Farm and I think my essay was solid but I did not put in nearly enough time and preparation into the language analysis section. Do you have any general tips for preparing for it or any of its aspects that may correlate to English Language?

I think expression is universal in English, so see if your ideas are explained clearly and in a way that is easy to follow. I don’t think the analysis in Argument Analysis was that similar to Eng Lang, but being specific about the effect of a particular technique is an important skill in both.

Love how you have clear expectations and are very aware of both your prep and how the actual exam went. I had a a pretty long time off actively studying, and now that I am slowly finding my way back this is one of the aspects I want to build into my student life.
