Great review, on our shortlist of campsites for the area but now rethinking as seems to be a lot of issues on balance when you are paying quite alot of money

Not impressive. That is enough interruption to cause a computer to reboot.

So wait, you spend a thousand quid in order to be able to power a fan heater for less than half an hour. I'm rather shocked that's all you're getting for the money you're paying...

@@SebastiaanBenders heating is very energy intensive and not what these power stations are designed for. I just do it to drain them quickly and understand the performance. Thanks for the comment!

but I need the 12V output socket from ECOFLOW (or any other power station) to work at the same time when charging from 12V from a car with an alternator! in a RESIDENTIAL VAN where there are appliances (for example, lighting or diesel heating) but which have a common frame. Is it possible to use the 12V output from ECOFLOW here with the common chassis of the car ??? won't it be destroyed inside the ecoflow - its step up / step down converters?

You are only wearing a t shirt under the jacket. If you put anything else on, it looks like it would be too small. That is more important than the 4 colours it comes in. 😂

my camping cot was $99 canadian. i am gonna put in a single person tent with wooden block under the tent raising it above ground. then i will make a wool sleeping bag and put it over my cot. and then put a tea light under my cot with foil tape protecting my cot. simple 1 tealight heated bed.

I just watched your video from three years ago regarding pass through charging with the Jackery 500. Nice that you have the newer Jackery with the LifPo batteries. I recently bought the 1000 v2. and it's an incredible unit. A comment on placing the panels on the roof is that you will get more wind noise when driving especially at highway speeds. That may not be a concern for some people. Also, some people including me are powering everything in their camper van off the Jackery or other brand power station. Everything is included in the unit. No separate inverter or fuse box, or very heavy deep cycle battery to move. They are portable. One last thought to the initial question of solar panels on top or not. - The portable briefcase style solar panels you show in the video can easily be stolen at a campsite when charging if you leave for a hike for a few hours. This vs. the roof top solar panels which would take tools and way more time to steal which is a lot less likely. It's really a trade off in a lot of respects. Nothing is perfect.

That's a great comment Bounceback, and I love that you've been watching my older videos - I bet they seem very quaint and ancient now! Haha. Totally agree on the theft potential for the portable panels, however I would say if you have a car or campervan you can store them inside which is safer to my mind than on the roof. You're totally correct that it is all tradeoffs!

The Jackery's have pass through charging which is a nice feature. Did you eventually get another solar panel?

If you go into the app tap the three dots at the top right and where it says work mode tap that It will drop a menu and you will see fast mode top that and it will go up to about 400 watts charging and then you will get it charged in an hour

An efficiency test will be more accurate at a speed where the cooling fans aren't going flat out then you'll basically only measure the inefficiency of the inverter and circuitry. Running a 500 watt light would probably be a better test as most people won't run high wattage items until the battery is flat.

If the Bluetti reduces power to keep high demand appliances running rather than cutting off, would that damage some devices?

I have a few bluetti power stations ac 200p, ac200 l, ac70, eb3a Not so happy with the eb3a but the ac70 is very impressive it charges up fast and seems to manage its power very well. I use my power station for off grid camping to run a fridge and diesel heater along with some other things. if I'm going for an overnight ill just take the ac 70 it's a good grab and go unit for its size.

Interesting. Mine doesn't have the right solar input but my panels look just like yours. My device is obviously a lesser model, with on power socket instead of 2, and the different solar input. So my panels cannot connect to the device....

Sleeping well is my hiking super power, thus I use the Helinox along with a soft inflated Thermarest wide mat on top. Also a fillo luxury pilow. The extra kilo is worth it for me. It's like being in my own bed and sleep so well I'm fully recharged for the next day.

Great review I really enjoyed it. You mentioned that at one point near the completion of charging it jumped from 90% to 100%. I believe when it does that it’s still not fully charged even though it states 100% it still carries on charging drawing current, but it does eventually stop. I do wonder if it was fully charged to capacity during your test even though it stated 100%. Just a thought. I think they do it to help preserve battery maybe? But I know Anker always releasing firmware updates.

Does the anker c1000 have UPS and pass thru? I need emergency generator for my refrigerator and freezer when I’m away for long periods of time.

That's a tricky one to answer. It will switch as a ups but it's difficult to answer if it has true pass through. Some forums say yes, some say no!

As I understand there is only cadence sensors and you cant really use it effectively for slow speeds, correct? How about the throttle, how sensitive is it to use for low speeds? I would like to see this tested on a more technical track to see if this config is up to it or if it is a highway cruiser.
