Now that you’ve played one of the nicer newer courses in the area, you should play the worst! Tara preserve only 15 min from Azario, and see what a 4 handicap shoots!

I heard it is nice and am supposed to play it Saturday. If you want a “Hidden Gem” play Rosedale . Although I don’t consider any of Sarasota Bradenton courses hidden… but then again I’ve been here for 40+years.

It was an off day but I did just get fitted for new clubs and they just arrived today so that should help get the handicap lower soon.

On that second hole should you have taken a double penalty at the water? Seen as though you didn’t take a provisional and there looked to be no lateral sticks?

I took a one stroke penalty and dropped the ball on the line where it went into the water.

Not sure how it all really works, but handicap rating leans too much on your home course because that's where you play all the time and are comfortable with every tee shot and most 2nd shots.. Most other harder courses should be x2-4 to your handicap, with a running tally of 10-20 rounds.

Lived in Tampa but never made it out here, have you been out to the River club? When I played there it was the best conditions I've played in that area especially for the price of $40 (at the time)

There is River run, and River Strand both in that Bradenton area. I love Waterlefe myself. Sadly - I don’t think it is just snow birds anymore - Tampa /Sun City / Riverview - any course in this area is always packed.

I shot an 89 there by myself right after a big storm back in August. Also, why do you talk so much ish about people that come down to play golf? Courses are closed where i am, but i don't want to wait months & months b4 i can play again. Whats the problem with that?

Come on down. I was being sarcastic. I do enjoy golfing here in the summer because the courses are empty. Going to be 78 and sunny tomorrow, great golf weather. Southwest Florida is beautiful this time of the year.

Just found your account love the local to me vids, One and only critique lose that ball tracer edit, until you find another method, if you take some basic adobe after effects/premiere/Davinci resolve tutorials you can pull a much nicer tracer, outside of that great content keep it going!!

esplanade is great, University is amazing...For some Muni's even Greenfield plantation, Heritage Harbour, Terra Ceia bay (short course), Peridia (also short), IMG Academy (GREAT course well maintained as its for the college)..Buffalo creek a few of the greens are rough, Bobby Jones Ross course is very nice wide fairways super fun. Ruskin area a lil drive north, Club Renaissance and Cypress Creek are both real nice too! i just started golfing this year and live in the area shoot mid 90's and do very solid at every course i listed all in this very area and worth playing! Stay away from Tara at the preserve probably the worst condition course ive ever seen even on youtube lol
