4:49 Hey man, thanks for making the video. My FJA was doing the same thing. It’s a 2010. I noticed this weird noise when I would turn it off like it was cracking nuts inside or something behind the dash. I will order whatever that thing is that you bought. Keep them coming. You got a subscriber.

Thank you for this video. It helped me immensely. I cheated by not taking the whole bracket off, and only taking the two upper bolts off. Then I took all of the small bolts that hold the actuator to the bracket, and wiggled it out. I only did it this way because I'm older, and my hands are not as flexible as they used to be. The mount, on the other hand, is fairly flexible. If you do it my way, the hardest part was the tiny bottom screw for the actuator. Thank you again.

Can't say for sure as I did the whole clutch with it. It never made a noise after that but it makes sense that it should work and it's a cheap option.

@gaving4359
@gaving4359 Жыл бұрын
It flew off on the highway. If you cut the adhesive at the front, you can push in with a flat blade to where the clips are and it should pop the molding off.

It probably needs it. The shop manual says to use it. The wind pressure and vibration at that spot is very high.

Did you ever try greasing the clutch fork/pivot ball before doing all of this? i found another video (of a different vehicle) making a similar noise and the fix was just the grease on the clutch fork/pivot ball had dried up and it made the chirping go away. I am having an issue with chirping on my 15 tacoma and have attempted to grease the clutch fork/pivot ball but you can barely see it when lying on your back under the truck. I will be ordering an endoscope from amazon and using that to see inside the transmission bell housing to make sure I'm actually hitting it with grease. I have been able to get the noise to diminish for a week or two blindly spreading grease where I think it should be but it comes back in full force (not as loud as yours though).

Thank you Sir! Just had ours blow off last week and was perplexed on how that even went back together. We had the windshield replaced a few weeks prior, and it appears they broke the clips and just glued it back on hoping it would stay…it didn’t.

I don’t have any issues with the stock seat. I can ride up to 10 hours a day on a tour. However I can only do this with leather suit. I once toured in biker jeans and that rubbed my inner thighs badly.

so did you ride with the Sargent and airhawk? how many hours you get being comfortable? also does the cruiser airhawk really fit better than the DS?
@gaving4359
@gaving4359 2 жыл бұрын
I have the DS. I get about 3 hours before I've had enough but it's mostly tail bone pain. Normally I got 1 hour before getting sore. The airhawk helps huge with that. The Sargent seat slopes the seat flatter so the position is more comfortable.. I suffer from a skinny butt so all bikes I ride are the same.

I have found that if you just take the original assembly apart, clean the copper contacts and the surfaces they ride on with alcohol, and grease the gears and white plastic actuator liberally with white grease on the contact surfaces it will work just fine!
