Great video. Appreciate your patience and step by step explanation. Can I find this board on Amazon? If you have a link to it that would be awesome.

I haven't had to buy any replacements in a while, so I don't have any new links. Check reef2reef forums. I know people have found higher quality components than the cheap boards Neptune uses.

This is really cool - Thanks for sharing. One question, how did the bristletooth tang workout in this tank. I'm thinking about a tomini tang for my 40b but every one says I need at least a 75g.
@ReefSpy
@ReefSpy 8 ай бұрын
He did great in this tank. I have since moved him into my 180 gallon tank and shut this one down. I have both a square tail bristle tooth tang, and a Tomini tang in there now. In my case, the Tomini tang did get larger, and the bristle tooth has still stayed small. Maybe they grow slower? In any case, if you get a small one, it should be good for a while, but they are active swimmers and like lots of space.

I'm thinking of doing this with the tidal 110 filter. I have one already filled to the brim with just bioballs and another standard catridge HOB filled with carbon,chemipure, and purigen. Seems to be working, but I'd like to have a safe haven for copepods!

180 is still up and running. Thanks for asking. Maybe I will do an update soon. I just shut down the 40 Breeder that was running on my controller. It worked well enough on that system. I learned a few new things and keep thinking about working on it again to make improvements. Maybe some day....

I have one and its 5 years old with zero issues. I have a standard 55 gallon tank and its mounted on the short side horizontally so that it spans nearly all the 12" width of the tank under my overflow box to push flow along the length of the 4 foot tank. Its setup across from a cp-25w and between the 2 ive never had an issue with flow. I keep the cp-25w aimed up at the surface of the water to cause a little wave and natural shadow over my reef as well as a little aeration. I generally keep both on w1 with the knobs spun halfway and on the lowest level. If im home all day ill crank the intensity up and back down throughout the day but if not it sits on w1 with 1 light on and my corals dont seem to have an issue. I went on vacation for 2 weeks with those pumps set like that and nothing bad happened. Generally at night ill put the cp-25w into "night mode" and put this guy on H with 1 light as i believe thats all the "night mode" does on the cp-25w. Its intended to keep steady flow cuz w the lights off the corals are asleep and keeping a steady flow helps the filter and any filter feeders catch detritus. Thats the theory anyways. These things seem pretty powerful. Either that or my tank has gotten used to really low flow and i cant tell the difference between low flow and strong flow.
