Didn’t Arlo do a song about a multicolored rainbow roach about a couple of stoners sending ,after they smoked the joint, a multicolored rainbow roach on the tip of a nuke and sent it to Russia to get them stoned and to mellow them out?

October 1974. Michigan. 19-year old me has day off. Taking advantage of Indian summer weather to take a long cruise on my Honda. Enjoying the vibes, I’m actually sticking to the speed limit. 20 minutes into my ride, I’m feeling so good that I start singing The Motorcycle Song. 2 minutes later I crash into a car that pulled out in front of me.

This was recorded at Wolftrap in Vienna, VA in 1993. I saw Arlo and Pete there in 1986. What a great place that was to see them.

My friend Emilio's favorite song. He passed a long time ago but he was one of the best mentors I could have at a young age.

I got so lucky to be at the Lexington, KY performance when “In Times Like These” was recorded. He said they were recording, but I thought he meant like a copy for the UK orchestra, not an actual album! Do you know how cool it is to hear clapping between songs and know your hands are in there too!!??❤️

I first heard this song in the sixties when Alices restaurant was first released. I'm a year younger than Arlo and 76 I still ride my motorcycle. I remember seeing him riding his Triumph across the field in the Woodstock movie. I'm still playing drums after 64 years and I hope Arlo is around for many years to come.

Two legends singing and playing another legend, all done with class and humility and appreciation for the music. There's lots of bad stuff here on KZbin, but it's performances like this that somehow make you forget all that bad stuff.
