Least favourite?? It's a fucking fantastic song wtf man and it has to be heard in the context of the album, a filler between two high energy songs, its the perfect pause in the album before emmit remus.

What exactly is the MXR EQ used for?
@RedHotChiliRiffs4 күн бұрын
Dave’s JCM 900 is modded. I’m trying to recreate the tone of his modded Marshall with the EQ pedal.
@GUI27XD4 күн бұрын
@RedHotChiliRiffs I'm addicted to Dave's tone, I've been researching it daily since I discovered a MASTERPIECE called OHM, it seems that his modification is only of valves, do you have any theory?
@RedHotChiliRiffs4 күн бұрын
I know Dave’s guitar tech very well. He told me they swapped the output transformer. When you swap power tubes, the differences in tone are actually quite subtle. But if you replace the output transformer, you have a completely different-sounding amp.
@GUI27XD4 күн бұрын
@@RedHotChiliRiffs Do you know the specific Output change? Was the change due to the gain? Would they be the EL34S, I thought they were valves?

Quick question: Can i have your gear? 🤔🤭 All seriousness, I'm more of a Niandra fan. I'd love to see someone break down Untitled 6. I know untitled 7 is really how it was recorded, but he sped it up a click and that's what gives it that unique presense. Thanks

Hello ! Congrats for the video ! A simple question that is maybe silly I don’t know but why not using the modulus as you have it and as it is the instrument used for the song ?

I don’t own a Modulus. I borrowed it from a friend.

Hey man, great work! Loved the 4th dimension type creamy solo. Why the Mustang bass? Is it the original bass on the track or was it just to spice things up? The bass part sounds more muted, both in terms of frequency and playing technique compared to the other tracks in the album and the more muted sound also shows how the SVT breaks up the best.

how do I get the bass tone
@camerond.8724Ай бұрын
Always love your videos! You do such a great job paying attention to tone and details, absolutely badass! For John's solo tone on this song, is the 'reverb'-y kind of sound actually just all from the DM-2w? I saw the settings you posted on IG for it but I'm having trouble nailing that tone. Also, I've been trying to find the correct voicing for (what I think is) the E7sus4 chord at the end of each verse, and after watching a ton of vids of live Savior performances I could only find one where I could sort of see Frusciante's hands and I THINK he's playing it as: (low E to high E) 0-2-2-4-3-2 Or something similar... it's so, so hard to hear in the mix on the recording, and unfortunately I can't find any good live footage of how he's playing it. Any thoughts? Love the channel dude!

Slap is where it matters, and Musicman Stingray and Jazz Passive came as the top 2. The Jazz Actives are all around the worst. But maybe they're better if distorted.
