I good correctly rear brake is OK and it leaves the hand to just one job. But it's not as effective as the front brake in most cases.

Got my sat nav for my 2015 z1000sx today,my bullet connections have been used for heated grips,i cud tap into my usb but its wired straight to battery,so seen this box,now please excuse my ignorance as a newbie to wiring bikes,so this box connects direct to battery and then the sat nav/usb ect can go to 1 of the ports on the box,what im trying to figure out is if its direct powered to battery how does the accessories turn on on off with the key if box gets direct power from battery🫣be easy on me im learning😅

Dont know what happened i missed start of video,were u used piggy back fuse now makes sense used same for car dash cam,the fuse box were piggy back fuse is what did you do to stop water maybe getting in with it staying open.thanks
@TonysGarage_UK13 күн бұрын
Ok. The box connects to the battery, but there is an extra lead to/from the box to a supply, which is only live when the ignition is turned on. You have to find that supply. This basically turns the box o, which then powers up whatever is connected to it. I hope that makes sense.

@TonysGarage_UK28 күн бұрын
Hard to do as each car excels in different ways and what you determine as ride quality. The jaguar is a better all round car, although I toured Europe in the Evora recently and it was brilliant. So, for comfort and all round usability go for the Jaguar, If twisty country lanes and track days are your thing the Evora takes it. I'd probably score them both equal, maybe a 9 each LOL. Both fantastic cars!

Thanks, I’m considering chopping my GTS300 for a RA300, always hated the styling, I’m off to Italy next year and planning on taking scooter on back of my Crafter campervan so was considering the Hydra trail which is what brought me to your page. I’ve got a proper Lambretta like you (LI150 special) which I’ve used for rallies for last 12 years but reliability is an issue, especially miles away on holiday in Italy, as well as the risk of theft. Nice to see a fellow scooter boy KTF.

Cheap (4$) Step up converter (set to 12V) and a diode works too :) Step up input to ignition power , and out through a diode to main power of radio. ( together with normal power +12)

Great post, I learnt a lot about my RA body work and wiring cheers. I am going to wait before I get some heated grips for my GP125AC as I am seriously thinking of getting the GP300LC, I just need to get to about 1200 miles on it to see if it loosens up and gives me a little bit more performance as it seems way slower than the advertised stats, at the moment I cant even hold 50mph on most flattish roads

Nice video, thanks for doing this. My non-drill front crash bars are arriving today and it is so useful to see how to fit them in advance. Drilling holes in the legshield is rather daunting but seeing it done gives me confidence and the fact that they are hidden under the rubber strips helps.

My first car an Escort Mk1 failed the first MOT I put it through because the Track Rod End had had it , in 1986 . To this day I had no idea what one looked like 😜

LOL, not many do.. and these don't look like a normal ball joint either!
@panman5582 ай бұрын
Do not try and thread the inner onto the outer tie rod while it is in the knuckle you will shear the threads and potentially give yourself more work .INSTEAD Remove the outer tie rod from the knuckle(IF you're struggling REMOVING THE OUTER TIE ROD get a Ball Joint Separator i have one from amazon OEM Tools cost me about 40$ but the GEARWRENCH Ball Joint Separator - 3916D is near that price as well. this will help you with any ball joint that is giving you trouble. trust me you NEED this tool) Then count how many times it has spun to come off the inner. (in my case it was 21) then remove the inner tie rod. put the new inner on, thread the outer tie rod onto your inner "21" times then put the outer tie rod into the knuckle and tighten it down. job done so long as your alignment was correct before hand if not you'll need to get her aligned
@TonysGarage_UK2 ай бұрын
Good advice, I actually tried my ball joint separator but it actually wasn't big enough! Yes, counting the turns or measuring distances are good alternatives to marking the locking nut. Thanks for that.

Hi, not related to the panniers, but the top box mounting plate. Is that something you have fitted to the triumph plate amended for Givi fitting? I have foolishly purchased a Givi Trekker thinking it would be the same fitment as the Triumph one. Sadly not - the pins are in different places.
