thank you Lisa, excellent videos.. for those considering, do. not. pay for the upfront CoPilot license for Admin 365. It's robbery. They are using the expectation of people that it works like CGPT to sucker them for $360, without a trial. bc they know no one would convert to a paid user. shameful.

Thank you for this information. I'm currently trying to decide if it's even worth it to take this exam if I'll have to rearrange my entire home office setup! The sheets are a very good idea which I hadn't thought of as an option. My desk is an L shape and I wonder if they would allow me to just cover a portion of my desk so I don't have to put everything in/on it somewhere else. But that additional monitors are not allowed to even be plugged in is just.... *sigh* If the software locks down what you do, why does it matter how many monitors are connected? When I see all these rules, especially that you can't even access your own reference material that you absolutely can use at any job where you would use the systems this cert is for, I just can't help but remember my elementary school teacher saying "you need to know how to do this math in your head because you won't always have a calculator in your pocket." How quickly that sentence became out of date! Anyway. Enough complaining on a very helpful video. Thank you!

I have found it incredibly useful. In fact, I have a project to develop, and this course covers 50% of it. The other 50% will involve developing an application for employee management once they have been hired. Do you have any tutorials for this? It would be great to have them; additionally, I need to know how to integrate both systems so that they function as one. This way, a user with the appropriate permissions would only see the recruitment section, while Human Resources would have access to the other section, and the general administrator would be able to see both. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge and help us. Of course, I would be happy to buy you a coffee.😊

Hi Lisa, if I am using Dynamics 365 to manage multiple cases, would it be possible to produce a report on the timeline that said something like: 'Show me all of the engagements with Company X across all cases'?

Ahhhh this is so helpful but I cannot for the life of me figure out why our excel file isn't gathering accurate data through co pilot, I have it formatted almost exactly like yours. It's basic Site, Name, Contact, Address type data. Any ideas why Co-Pilot jumbles around the answers? I have it set to High Moderation as well.

This was a really helpful video! I only have one question if a company was looking forMicrosoft Dynamics 365 CE Software Engineer what would they be looking for? Would it be a person who knows how to use all of these applications or just a few? If so which ones should I learn? Thank You
@LisaCrosbie2 күн бұрын
Generally speaking the functional consultants and developers for Dynamics 365 are able to cover either (1) CRM - Sales, Service and sometimes also Marketing applications (although Marketing is its own specialty) or (2) ERP applications - finance, operations, supply chain. It is very rare for someone to be across both areas.

Wasn't clear on how one gets into the "protected" experience. Does this require paying for Copilot Pro ($20/month)? I'm a Microsoft 365 user, but when I log in, the Copilot experience is the unprotected kind.

Very nice overview. Co-Pilot, Chat-GPT and Gemini already are re-shaping the tech world as we used to know it. The "rise of AI" is inevitable. How we use it and implement it will define us for eons to come.

Hi Lisa, does it allow users to record the steps/prompts and results generated by the copilot and save it as a macro for future use? Like a person has to do the same steps for some monthly reporting etc.
@LisaCrosbie3 күн бұрын
That isn’t part of Copilot for Excel but the new AI recording for desktop flows (Power Automate) just announced at Build would most likely be the right solution there.

Hi Lisa, thanks for this video. I need your help to filter table with current logged in user but employee name stored in single line text
@LisaCrosbie2 күн бұрын
The user is an out of the box field so you don’t need to create it as a text field. You can put a filter on any views to show rows that are owned by “current user”. Any of the views already on the tables that are called “My…” (eg My Active Contacts) are examples of this.

I have data in excel file 50k records of 40 columns including two columns Reconciler Name and Reviewer Name. My requirement is to store this file in dataverse table so that if any user logged in, it will filter his name in reconciler column and show his records only and he should not be allowed to view others records. How can we import user name from excel to dataverse owned by column

Gday Lisa, Could this work in reverse where we could type Contact and then lookup Account? Would there be any additional changes required
@LisaCrosbie2 күн бұрын
Because that relationship is the other way around, (many to one) it works differently. You can set it up that once you select the contact, the account field is populated with the account associated with that contact

The quick view form was just what i was missing THX. I normally work with Canvas apps, and that is a complete different thing when I need to get related data from a lookup, so this was the missing part of the puzzle. Thanks for showing it - and keep up the good work 👏👏

Great video! I've been playing around a bit, I'm not sure whether Copilot actually does multi-turn conversations. It seems like with each pass of a topic it rewinds and starts from scratch again, unlike something like ChatGPT technology which will 'remember' things because it's fed the entire conversation on each new message within that conversation. I've built some bots based on the bot framework (which seems to be the underlying tech here) before, calling out to an LLM just seems to be an add-on to that technology right now, calling out to it when you reach that card, but only providing the context and prompt you enter into the card and not the rest of the conversation. I suspect the example where you made it work was just luck where the LLM understood the prompt enough to give you a fitting answer. I really love where this is going, but at the same time we're definitely not there yet. We would really need the LLM to have the entire conversation as context in order to provide more powerful ways of interacting with it.
@LisaCrosbie2 күн бұрын
It does actually keep the context up to 10 turns. It had been a bit glitchy but I’ve done plenty of examples where it works. When it generates and answer ask a follow up question without the full context. I’m seeing improvements in what it can do all the time, there is a lot of development still going on.
@jaspersiegmundКүн бұрын
@@LisaCrosbie oh! That's different than my experience but indeed, still a lot of development going on so that might be the cause. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the video Lisa! We're looking to implement Dynamics 365 Sales CRM, and this has been really helpful. Two questions for you. The first is that we need a customized commission model for our sales team. Is this something we can build on power apps and integrate with CRM? The second is that we're looking to develop this inhouse (with some external consulting potentially). Just wanted to know your thoughts (we have inhouse data engineers and process analysts).
