Is there any way to modify the LLM behavior? For example, suppose I want it to answer questions about external knowledge but with a pirate attitude. So far, I am trying to modify the general information instructions, but it does not seem to heed these instructions. Thank you so much for your tutorial!!!

Yes, you can modify the instructions, which is like a prompt that applies to the whole experience. I’ve seen a demo where you can ask it to talk like a pirate and it works.

Last night, I looked into building a custom copilot. It looks like custom copilots are business account level products (at $200/mo). Is this correct? If not, where can I find a more cost-effective option?

That’s correct, Copilot Studio is part of Power Platform which is designed primarily for business applications. You might find more cost effective options building an Azure bot

I am not able to recreate a copilot when following your tutorial. What am I doing wrong? When asking the copilot 'What can I do in Sidney?" it replies "I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to help with that. Can you try rephrasing?". This is the case no matter what I ask. The only way to get an answer is to create a topic, an then the copilot will answer strictly on that topic. What could be wrong?

Hey Lisa, Great information. I tried building a copilot to test pulling information from a company webpage. But the copilot keeps throwing up incorrect information. For instance, when I ask about the CFO of the company, it doesn't show the information though the website has it under the leadership team. I tried another leader and it worked. Also, i tried looking up the address for one of the company's office locations and it didn't show me that information. How do we fix these issues?

It’s working with the Bing indexing on your website so you might want to look at how your website content is indexed and if it is including outdated pages or content. Otherwise try the Copilot Studio community forum for specific troubleshooting help.

Good video. My question is what happens if users ask weird/insulting questions. I do not want a public copilot providing inappropriate answers for my organization. In your nice Australia copilot, what would it do if someone asked if Australia has the most poisonous snakes, or some question about the murder rate? I'd like a custom copilot to be able to answer as many questions as possible, but also I'd like it not to give any answers that someone could cut and paste to use to embarrass my organization.

I want to build a custom CoPilot that sets a custom context and modifies the original user prompt. so I don’t really want a trigger based on phrases as I essentially want to always trigger on any user prompt. So how does one set this up?

I’m not sure I fully understand the question but the Copilot starts the conversation and you can edit that greeting to whatever you want.

I've tried connecting Copilot to my Power Pages site but it won't give me any information from my website I think the problem is that the Power Pages site isn't indexed so it won't recognize anything

Anybody else run into inconsistent answers that miss conversation history context? Like you can ask a question that retrieves the right answer and document source, but when you ask a follow up it does not realize you are asking about the answer itself?

I’ve had successes and failures with this depending on the kind of follow up question. Can you post your example of what doesn’t work?

We added a test document to sharepoint site with a fake product called Skynet used to monitor employees in a word doc. The Doc describes the product, it's purpose, licensing, price, etc. I ask the bot if we have any product that can be used to track employees and it brilliantly understands and reports back on this skynet product, I ask "how much does it cost" it fails to understand context is about the answer. But If my original question specifically asked about Skynet, it also answers, but also understands and answers the price question. There is also an issue when asking a 3rd or 4th follow up questions.

@@LisaCrosbie Hi. so we have a document talking about some home grown app with configuration steps. The document describes what the app does and who can access it. Bot is smart to find the document based on users first question, but generic follow up "who can request this" fails unless my original question specifically names the app by name.

The "Create from description with Copilot" option from the Add a topic dropdown button is not working. Nothing is happening when I select it...besides adding /custom-topics/prompt in the url, nothing is showing. No popup, no modal, no refresh, nothing! Nothing is showing in the dev console as well...anyone having similar issues?

I’d suggest asking in the Copilot Studio forum. They made a lot of changes to the UI during Build, there might be some temporary glitches.

@@LisaCrosbie After spending way too much time on this, I finally found out the reason behind the issue. The inability to make the popup open when clicking on the “Create from description with Copilot” has everything to do with the region your environment has been created in. My environment was created in the Canada region and I couldn’t see the popup. Also, when you sign up for a community plan, besides entering your email address, you can’t choose or change the Region, so in my case, it continued to create an environment in the Canada region. As I’ve said, Microsoft could’ve made an effort displaying an appropriate error message instead of making people waste enormous amount of time. It leaves me with a bad impression that the tooling is still very much flaky. If you have any contacts at Microsoft, feel free to share this with them as it might help others.

Try going into settings - authentication and switching off authentication. In the weather plugin go in and change it from user authentication to the other option. Otherwise try asking in the copilot studio community forum. Good luck with the demo.
