As a preschooler, there were no other kids around for several miles. Dad got me a beagle mix puppy. Pure bred beagles have a large instinct for hunting, but not much in the brains department. Tippy looked all beagle, but a bit of fox terrier mix gave her thinking capability. Her and I were welded together. She was my best friend. Sadly, when she was 13, she died. I was devastated. I love this song. Reminds me of the farm in Kansas when I was a kid, where we lived for five years. I'd go back in a heartbeat. God I love it there. The scenes in my mind fit the song perfectly, but it was a pond we jumped into, not a creek.
