Interesting and honest video. Liked the way you broke the costs down at the end. End of the day, you may not have made a fortune, but you did your first cambelt succefully. Subscribed 👍

Standard 2.5 acv 102bhp nozzels are dsla 150p 442 2500psi pop. V70 use dsla 150p 502 and pop just under 3000psi. Easy to swap nozzles with a few spanners. 👍

Good video. You were too generous to your friend. I would say it was definitely worth £1,500 all day long. A ULEZ compliant car. There didn't appear to be any rot on the body nothing a tidy, clean and polish couldn't sort out. 130k miles with a new cam belt and tensioner bearing and full service, good tyres. Free motoring for your mate for several years. You let it go far too cheap. Oh well lesson learned.

I love bangers. People are throw away now, can afford a better car and get one. Got 17 yr old berlingo petrol zero faults a lovely car to drive. Not rusty, paintwork lovely. Burns no oil or water. Most people turn their noses up at it but i bought it 8 yrs ago for £2200 @60k miles now just short of 100. Maintain all myself, did the cam belt/ water pump myself using u tube and was surprised at myself. I bought it for the sliding doors to transport my Dias led folk around. Been borrowed by everyone. 3 piece suite in it, double bed. What a car.

@@bestysbits2071 Breakers yard prices have gone completely crazy now, as have all prices. A few years ago my local breakers (Ray's) would have charged a couple of quid for that wiper linkage, fiver at the most if it looked as good as new. In fact the guy would have given it to you if you were a regular. For example, he would have half a dozen Astra's in, keep them for a week so people could pick the bits off them and then strip them and ship them out. A complete wheel with often nearly new tyre £3 each, complete nearly new exhaust for a fiver, complete set of brake shoes including all springs and clips for a quid, pads, bulbs, fuses, spark plugs and leads for a quid or free. Then they would strip the car, engines in one skip, gear boxes in another and then the body shells would go onto a small truck 2 at a time and taken away. He would stack the cars 3 high quick turnover, the place was always full of people and they were all happy. The breakers down the road had a big piece of land where all the cars were spread out and not stacked. They would keep the same cars for 2 years until they rusted. They were so expensive . Ray knew how to do it and he retired early, they were great days. He's bored shitless now though. I used to buy accident damaged salvage cars to do up and sell but they're so expensive now it's just not worth it. Enjoyed the vid and am now new subscriber.

It's probably the best Merc ever built, The W204, the OM642 V6, The 722.6 trans. Glowplugs: thighten slightly first, then "left/right" and they will come out, remember to replace the glowplug controller also.

@@bestysbits2071 Well, I had one in a Chrysler 300C Touring, I did a piggybag ECM from Brabus. Works fantastic. Ensure that the turboinlet rubber seal are 110% tight.. Otherwise it will leak oil on top of the swirlmotor that works the intake flapper Doors... This part has been upgraded a couple of times, get the latest iteration, it will save a lot of work later...
