Jimi sure is hard to cover. He would at times play a half note off. I don't know if he played that way on purpose or was high that day. This cover is pretty good though.

How consistent are the fender JV Strats? I’m debating between three, and the best I got from a shop about one of them is “you can’t go wrong with this one” , that’s a shop in Japan

Thanks for keeping SRV music alive and respect for your take/interpretation of this badass classic. Historic note: SRV used to do the main riff with a slide from the 3rd to the 5th fret of the second string during touring, to avoid to much strain on his left hand (those who play this tune will get which part of the riff I’m talking about). In The studio version, he bent the note and mind you with those heavy gauged strings at this incredible tempo!!! What an absolute guitar monster he was. Keep on blues-rocking!!
