Mormon gospel before Christ? One of the books in the Mormon collection of so-called scripture is Ether. It claims to cover a time period from about 2600 BC to 600 BC. It alludes to the great tower (tower of Babel) when people rebelled against God. So, low and behold, Jesus Christ reveals himself to Jared and his brother and tells them to get to work and build some barges for a great voyage to a new world (Ether 2:12, 2:16, 3:1). Rather strange that Jesus had yet to be born in Jerusalem and be given the name Jesus, but this is Mormonism. These eight barges have a hole in the bottom and in the top, but no windows for air. There is no mention of these vessels having sails yet they managed to go either around the Horn of Africa, or through the Mediterranean and across the Atlantic Ocean. Keep in mind that this Joseph Smith found the golden plates with this record on a hill in New York, but Mormons claim the barges actually landed somewhere in southern Mexico near present day San Lorenzo. Therefore, they lay claim to the Olmec civilization as proof of this wild story. In Ether 4:3 there is mention of the people rejecting the "gospel of Christ" (who had not been born yet much less been to the cross) therefore the brother of Jared leads the people on these barges being lit by magic stones that produce light (3:4) as a result of being touched by the Lord. For 344 days they were driven by stormy seas to the promised land. It has been pointed out that Columbus made his round trip to America and back in only 221 days, and they spent time exploring many islands along the way. Ether records numerous things in the new world, such as steel swords, that did not show up for hundreds of years when they were brought by Europeans (Ether 7:9). Check out Ether 9:17-19 for a list of other questionable items: silk, swine, horses, asses, and elephants.

Anyone here on 2024? I was here rediscovering this video on 10-10-2024. I have posted this on other peoples Facebook page when they talk about the Mormons. I know another religion that knocks on doors and I think of them to when I hear this. Jehovah's Witnesses

I was on the bus yesterday. Two missionaries were aboard and got abuse that you wouldn’t believe. Luckily, this ex Mormon is also a world champion Thai boxer, the silence was nice. Thank you gentlemen, keep doing your work x

I'm never rude, that isnt like me. But there's a pentacle on the door for a reason. I always am polite and thank them. They are doing something that is meaningful FOR THEM. Unless they are unusually DRIVEN, "No but thank you" is usually sufficient. No reason for a bummer on the day. I've once had to go as far as "I'm proudly Pagan, but thank you for your concern for my immortal soul." *situational awareness* Holy symbols of other religions are perhaps, misunderstood....or seen as a challenge; but I'll take "misunderstood." You can't help but to love fresh scrubbed young enthusiasm.

I married a returned missionary who had not been in church for years. After sending a message through the church, a missionary found our house and ran through a sprinkler to knock on our door. I didn’t expect to join the church but here I am, baptized 8 years ago and could not be more thankful for those two young men. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. Even during the hardest times in life, he is by my side, holding me up.

Missionaries knocked on my dad's door when he was 21. He let them come inside and I'm forever grateful. I was later a missionary as well and I'm so grateful for those that let me come inside as well.

There is only ONE God. Men do not become gods. That is just another deception of the Mormon church. If only they spent they much time spreading the gospel of Jesus, instead of the gospel of Joseph Smith and his encounter with the fallen angel.
