What if you have water or drainage problems and slopes? Is it strong enough to hold back the wall?

Could this be adapted to build a concrete-rock foundation/ ,say 6 ft high and one foot thick? These look like cattle panel stock, 1/4 thick galvanized wire@ 6 inch or 4 inch squares .In the US they are 16 feet long. Up to 54 inches high. Rock is cheap here. 14 yards of screening rocks washed $,10-12 per yard, delivered.

The veneer or facade approach of putting the finest, most visual stones in front, makes economic and aesthetic sense. Then, filling the unseen middle with construction debris or lower cost common stones.

Could you please advice me. I want to fence with gabion baskets of 2m×1m×1m only dimension available in Mauritius.The wall to be fenced is on a flat ground it measures 6m long and 2m height its on flat ground.May I put 2 basket on each other to have the 2m height. If not what should be done.thanks

It is a soffit vent covering which comes in sheets about 30m in length from Screwfix. Item: Sabrefix plastic Soffit vent mesh. Used to prevent small creatures entering vents etc. Price in May 2023: £54.99 for 30m roll at Screwfix.

I need to put in 2 retaining walls to hold back an earth bank and add additional much smaller sides, steps and border edgings. The highest point of the earth to be retained will be 4 feet what would your estimate be on the depth I would require at the base assuming a 2 basket high build. Would digging in the bottom layer make a difference? Finally would you have a view on how this would stack up in terms of costs vis doing the job with posts and railway sleepers? 1m deep bottom row. Normally you would dig down and compact a layer of Hardcore for the wall to sit on. please see this page . www.gabionbaskets.co.uk/components/com_finemesh/assets/gabion/C10487-02_revC.pdf Gabion walls last considerably longer than railway sleepers, it depends on where your based and the stone cost. if you can send us an email [email protected] with your length we can price your job.
