Not close to razor blade sharp but ok out of box sharpness

Mine will be here on Tuesday. Looking forward to adding this to my repertoire. Now if someone hands me a $500 knife I can feel confident on how to sharpen it.

What do you use for lubricant on your stones?

My TOPS WPH rusted too. This knife is a copy of the Kizlyar Phoenix Combat.

I’m an old wood worker retired many years. I’ve used my Tormek grinder for decades and have found no flaws with it. One needs patience though but these wheels last a lifetime. Expensive yes and wheel replacement can be expensive too. There are now knockoffs of this design for less cost that could work as well I suppose. Bottom line, water sharpening is my pick.

Hey everybody I was the winner of the giveaway and I got the Architect 3.5 in the mail yesterday and it is an AWESOME little bushcraft knife!!! The little notch in the spine throws some nice sparks off the Ferro rod!!! The leather sheath is a very stout and is very well made. The ergos of the handle are sweet!!!! This is my first Architect knife, for the past few months I’ve been really wanting one and now I own one and I am super stoked!!!! I’m definitely going to be saving up some money to get the AK 6.5 and possibly making a piggy setup to carry the 3.5 over the 6.5. The 6.5 is now my grail knife after holding the 3.5. Before I even saw this video I was following Architect knives on INSTAGRAM and Facebook because of all of the positive feedback on KZbin and other social media.seriously checkout the Knife Connection or Architect Knives website and do a mock run through on the knife builders there are so many combinations between the the steel,handles,sheaths and attachments. From 1095,CPM3V,s35vn and even Magnacut. And canvas mixers and G10 scales with crapload of color schemes and patterns. Again thank WARDOG and Ethan at Architect knives!!!!!!!

do you put like heavier grit like lets say 2000 grit on the rough side and lets say 6000 grit on the smooth side.

Wish there was more testing and less talking. That Arkansas stone will not be able to actually cut the carbides in magnacut. If the knife ever gets actually dull you won’t be able to sharpen it on natural abrasives.

Is a second tool post available for mounting the large wheel? This would make switch from platen to wheel much easier and quicker.
