Thank you for sharing your experience. Your result looks amazing! After much contemplation, I decided to purchase from this brand, but for a different laptop. Also, I agree wholeheartedly about buying American products whenever possible.

If you do get one, get the shorter scale neck and cutaway! Makes a huge difference - I had Kilin Reece from KR Strings put a pickup in this one and I love it - facebook.com/siggurd/videos/10224192738031423/

@@MrTsTips I have heard the longer scale is more guitar sounding and the shorter is more mandolinish. I have a short scale octave by Trinity and it is very mandolin. Do you feel there is any truth to this? Or is it all playability?
@MrTsTips
@MrTsTips 2 жыл бұрын
@@CollinKenny the longer scale one was more akin to a Mandocello; deeper tones which did muddy and mix with guitar players when I would play bluegrass with a local group. Switching to the shorter scale, the notes literally cut above the guitar yet still far below the standard mandolin - making it really stand-out on its own in a group of musicians.

Nice video but very shaky camera work. MOVE camera SLOWLY. Am I the only one getting Nauseous ??? At 22:06 he realizes he forgot the VRM shim around the GPU. So now his VRM's are not in contact with his heat sink. NO that's not important. Beware: AMATEUR on the loose giving advice. 26:14 Max fan speed and 80°C (176°F) CPU and 74°GPU !!! Even though he is roasting them he says "Man thats great". WTFool??? Those are bad temperatures people.
@MrTsTips
@MrTsTips 3 жыл бұрын
Trying to sound as witty as you can on a 0-budget production and having your foot in your mouth the whole time is pretty idiotic and pathetic. The aftermarket thermal pads touch the heatsync on the VRM, no need for shim, and if you watch the end of the video, you'll see where the temps dropped dramatically. Anyway, the temps were a success any way you look at it compared to the shit stock paste and design on these old laptops. Anyway, thanks for a few chuckles and laughs this morning with your comments on a few of my videos lmfao - "nice video - fool - beware" troll around someplace maybe current 🤣

Tape the heatsink copper to the outside of the corner lines. Cover the WHOLE area inside the lines. Let sit for 12 hours and then clean off with DRY cloth. Copper should now have overall UNIFORM gray color. The heatsink is now Tempered. NOW spread LM thinly but evenly on heatsink and Die for final assembly.

My condoctonaut will arrive next week. Planning to apply it on my ROG strix G17, both on the cpu and gpu. After applying it, others said i should reapply after a month, and then after that. I can reapply yearly. Would that be good?.. i don't travel that much with my laptop so no problems about leaking. One other thing, could i use electrical tape to cover up around the cpu and gpu die?

Well, i don't want a thumbs up from you. LOL JK, but great video. To all new liquid metal users: The company it self said, that it indeed reacts with also copper, but it does not eat like the bullshit story's online. But the company said, you should repaste the liquid metal in the first 2 months, after that you should replace it 3 months later. After that you can replace it yearly. And yeah, its worth it. i have a asus rog gl503, my temps were so high, laptop was screaming and it was hot as fuck. I dropped about 16 degrees while gaming, WORTH IT!!!!! Also because the lower temps, your laptop should last longer. Don't worry about the copper, they so cheap and easy to find. I bought a spare one just to be sure, if i can't find any in some years. i always have 1. I got the orginal one for only 22 dollar. So should be good the rest of the life of this laptop, which i plan to use for a few years.

Нужно ли использовать медные пластины 3 или 4 мм для лучшего прикосновения охлаждения и процессора. Многие рекомендуют применять пластины 20х20. Или ты обходился без них?
@MrTsTips
@MrTsTips 3 жыл бұрын
