I have a question. I work at a doggy daycare, its part time about 30 hours a week and the hours & days off are steady. My shift starts at 2pm. Here's my issue, The doggy daycare will call me if there's not a lot of dogs and tell me "its slow today not many dogs, don't come in today". Does this happen? I'm asking because i didn't sign up to be working on-call.

I quit after 5 years. Hated that company. Loved it when I first started there it was great. After I saw what it really was, I started hating my life. And I didn't know why. Then I realized it was GNC. Started in 2010 then to 2015. The sales numbers where so bad and the micro management was on a whole other level of ridiculous. Best decision I ever made was quitting them

1. We only push our gnc brand 2. We only try to upsell people who have an item that we know isn’t as good 3. We don’t get more money in our pockets for selling vitamin packs, that’s only if our vitamin packs get above our daily sales goal. So you’re pretty much wrong about all of that

GNC IS AWSOME, people are a pain but if you know how deal with it than it’s AWSOME, man I love it here and this is my second job, I worked here for 7 years still doing part time, go through bs but I mean it’s life no ?

I can’t even get the kid working there to look up and even say hi to me let alone try to sell me something. Far as employees hate when customers buy a bar or a drink due to their sales whatever tough for them. Sometimes we want to come in a get a drink on a hot day not a whole body cleansing kit.

So not sure if you will respond. Or anyone will respond. I had an interview with Starbucks. I brought my resume. I have experience. Seems like the manager liked me she kept smiling and nodding. She went over discounts and duties you do daily. What they pay an hour and she even asked me if I have any vaccinations planned or need days off... I was told I’d get a call back nobody called yet. But after the interview they said “thank you for pushing it”.. is that a good sign or bad sign? I’m overthinking about it. Will they call me if I don’t have the job or if I get hired? I tried calling a day after my interview and ask and was told the manager would call me back. Still nothing, when should I hear something? Please someone respond !!

The worst part is coming in the morning and letting all the dogs in the yard. They all shit at once and some of them are obsessed with eating poop. So you're trying to clean all the poop as fast as possible while these dogs dart around you racing you to the poop. And you can never get it all before they eat some. And they always happen to be the super kissy dogs too that jump all over you and lick all over your face. Shout out to Kobe the aussie. You're cute but you are a foul foul animal.

I worked 8 years at 3 different pet resorts. Lots of nonsense and smoke and mirrors. The whole industry needs an upgrade in regulations, pay, and environment. Any questions, just ask. I've worked with over 3 thousand dogs and will answer any questions. I've been in every dog situation you can imagine. I had enough and quit a week ago after 5 years with the same resort. Demand more pay. Start a Union. Corporations that are buying out resorts, stay away from.

wow she nailed it.. before it was rebranded under the new ceo and became the "One new Gnc "at the end of 2016 the job was great! very chill ,customers always happy..i neved had a bad day...after on the other hand.. right down the drain.. that average $ she talked about is possibly the main reason ..every store is ranked and you get chewed out if your in the regions bottom 5( dark red) you managers out there prolly have nightmares about that color lol our goal was set at60$ average that means each customer you need to convince to spend atleast that amount..being only a 500k/year store ,having a gym right next door and being in a location that many senior citizens frequent I cud promise you this is impossible..gym goers come in one after the other and buy single drinks and protein bars( cant be mad at them for that) all senior citizens come in for 5-6$ vitamins and our regional manager thought he was gods own salesman and use to spy on us into the store from rooftops across the street( crazy?) these "goals" they set made almost everyone i know either get fired for bad performance or quit...not sure if they changed but im guessing probally not..do not work here..atleast not for corporate

I’ve worked corporate and franchise, and I can tell you franchise is 1000 times better. Better pay, better PMs, and the PM products are actually decent. Every franchise is different though

I just started at a doggy daycare/boarding facility.... I was so shocked when they told me to pick a pair of rain boots that fit me and put them on if I didnt want my sneakers soaked LOL. Note to self: invest in my own good rain boots because the flat bottoms KILLED me after just one day!
