Still remember where I was when I got shown what truly incredible songwriting is. 2007 on a smoke break working at Sonic my buddy popped it in the cd player. First Hayes song I heard was Hey Baby Where You Been and I was sold. This album changed what music is and means to me changed forever. Thank you sir!

Been a fan since the beginning. Great song! I play and sing it often. Funny I should see this video this morning, because I’m about to head up to Fuller’s Guitars to look at trading in my Taylor AD17e for a J-45. The song will just sound better on the ol’ workhorse…. Good stuff man. Keep up the good work!

My copy of "Little Rock" is scheduled for delivery Monday, I cant wait to hear it on vinyl. I bought the CD at your merch table 20 years ago when you opened for Todd Snider at the Sons of Herman Hall in Deep Ellum/Dallas TX. I walked down the stairs after your set and you were leaning against one of the columns. We talked for a few minutes and I've been a huge fan ever since.

Heck Yeah Mr. Hayes Carll! Perfect timing. I've got a guitar circle tonight with a half dozen or more buddies and I've been working all week on covering your "You get it all" as note for note as I can from one of your solo acoustic performances on your channel. You came here a couple months ago to Bloomington IL on your tour with Patti and Lori. I was the guy with the walker and the little bell that I rang in place of applause! (inside joke) Seriously, you were GREAT in that performance! I just subscribed to this channel now too! P.S. my retrievers also sneak into my home guitar videos!

Every time I listen to this song I cry. My fear is that Hayes has been reading my mail before it has been written and sent to me. I’m 76 and I notice that my memory is fading and I frequently forget things like names and events. It’s kind of scary. The lyrics of this song just hits home and I keep hoping these lyrics will leave and not make themselves too comfortable in my home.

WTH Hayes Carll? Can't you see? Oh cain't you Lord what that woman -- just no on that. Don't make her the Yoko of your Beatles. Steve Earle was just a step on the ladder; you still a baby in her book. Love your music, not hers. She did the same s**t with Earle. Stay true & Die Like an Aviator!
