Great video. I’m on the fence of buying one. I’ve got a BR800 and a BG86 that I hold in the other hand and work them together. Takes me about an hour and a half to do all my leaves, about 6 times a year. I think this would be a welcomed addition.

I have the same 4 way wedge and added about 2" to each of the side wedges. The wedges are 5/8" thick and after grinding the welds and sharpening the cutting edge, they ended up being about 1/2" Even though the weld was good, the stress on 1/2" broke one of the extensions off. Bought add on wedges 5" long and 3/4" thick. Cut off original side wedges and welded on 5" on each side and no sharpening needed. It works well and eliminated having to pull apart uncompleted splits.

Have you raised your weekly cuts that was $60 per cut since this video 6 years ago, and if so by how much?
@limoslawncare5273
@limoslawncare5273 Жыл бұрын
Just looking at it, it looks like his hourly 6 years ago was $45 with the crazy inflation the last couple years that’s probably $75 now so whatever that makes the $60 cut at now. 60% up since 6 years ago... Lawntrepreneur academy has a really good pricing calculator that you can buy for $99 and enter your expenses to see where your business needs to be at per hour to be profitable.

Nice four-way splitter head , one thing you said you don't like to bend over to p split wood so you split horizontally, watch your own video n count you bending over the log spliter to reach for large pieces you split , no good for ur back, try splitting vertical or up n down while siting on a big round log cut to your preferred hight ND p

Good review. Have same splitter and just replaced my Koehler engine (I’m second owner). That was an easy process. Question - has your split/retract level gotten stuck going back (retracting). The lever going forward movement to split is fine and safe but retracting it doesn’t automatically go into neutral anymore when it meets the top.

I had a problem with the brakes on mine. They didn't work. Found that when the wires was placed on top of the axles were actually pinched. It created a short. Cut the bad part off and now have brakes.

I got some gouging on my 25 ton countyline going on, on top of h-beam under the lip, a few inches from end of stroke. We ran a load of wet oak thru it and the wedge wasn't always going perfectly straight, so bottom of wedge was digging into the h-beam. A little grease helped.

4 brakes that definitely justifies me dropping 3700 for it. Prices shot up but it's that way across the board. I've had my eye on a 18ft flat bed only 2 brakes tho around same price. I gotta stop dragging my feet it's costing me every 3 months in this market we have!

My 97 7.3 rear tank when switched on makes the engine start to die down and eventually run rough, I don’t know if the same thing in the video is happening to me or that fuel selector valve is bad, and only using the front tank sucks because you know these trucks have a drinking problem
