Hello Love you Your video tutorials I have S100 Bobcat loader ,was working fantastic until last week when decided that the auxiliary pipe won’t respond when trying to use grab bucket , the bucket opens but won’t close and to close I have to release the pressure by loosen one the ram pipe and that way it will close by pushing down by hand then Tightening the pipe back it will open but it won’t close any idea what could cause this ?

Tracks are great for flat surfaces....but on terrain that is uneven, they get very tipsy because the center of gravity can change. On a wheeled skid loaded, you have much more forgiveness on uneven surfaces...I was dumping a load of dirt and was too close to the edge of a hole....bucket was maybe 3' in the air...and had it tip forward. I never had this issue with a wheeled skid steer.

Nice stack of skid steers you got right here brother! Best wishes hope things are still going strong post pandemic. I want to buy an easy to work on tracked loader with no dpf. I was thinking pre 2014 bobcats with the low pressure fuel injection for ease of maintenance. I have no idea about other brands to look at. Maybe caterpillar? Maybe deere? Whos reliable and not crazy with replacement part prices?

Hello; great video. Thank you for the informative review. I found it very helpful. I am looking at possibly purchasing a used 2010 Terex PT100 forestry package skid steer. It has 3,700 hours on it. I have looked at the reviews I am able to find, including yours. I have a couple questions I hope you can help me with, especially with your experience in the industry. First, I have seen some complaints about the cab on this model. One guy said the cab was so dusty he had to wear a dusk mask to operate it and eventually stopped using the unit when the ground was real dry because the dust was “unbearable”. He said that even after trying to re-seal and weather strip the door it didn’t get any better. I’m wondering if this is a common problem, or if this guy is either just a complainer or maybe he just got a lemon cab on the machine he bought. I have some breathing issues and don’t really need these kind of problems if the cab really is that bad. He also said the air conditioning was always having problems and needed constant repair. In the middle of a 90 degree summer day in a sealed cab it would be nice to know the air is reliable. Next, you mentioned the undercarriage is more costly to maintain, but well worth the extra expense. Can you please tell me what kind of costs I’m looking at, for the more common problems/ maintenance issues on this model, and roughly how often I’ll be having to expect this expense? As an example, what are the routine failures/ expenses and at approximately what hour intervals should they be expected? I was a little concerned after reading the one comment about the 2015 070T, and the issues Jeremy Wilson said he had at 500 hours, with the cost of the undercarriage at $15k and rollers at $100 each. I saw a review from someone else on another forum mentioning that on the PT100’s style undercarriage there was noticeable wear to new tracks after just a day of operating in gravel. That guys complaint was that the undercarriage holds the debris, and it is difficult to clean. He also said the PT100G models changed the undercarriage design some and made the bogie wheels more accessible and easier to clean and shed debris from collecting and wearing on parts. I’m just going into business and I am trying to make smart purchases on reliable equipment. I understand everything breaks down and nothing is perfect; I also farm and that’s the nature of the beast. On the flip side of the coin though, I also don’t want to get into a situation where my equipment is constantly having problems and I’m spending all my earnings on repairs just to keep things running. Thank you for any input and advice you can give.

Off on a tangent with the $7k repair bill on a few months... Anything is possible, but do the regular maintenance and you shouldn't have a bill like that, unless you take it to a shop after you run the thing out of oil... And wreck a pump, or traction motor or two... Parts are available from other makes /models

I dont think what you are saying is 100 percent correct.. break out force is much higher on my machines than what they lift..its a measurement of bucket cylinders not lift arm cylinders..just based on my experience with what i own. And your tipping capacity im sure is not measured with the bucket all the way up

@LakevilleLiftingCrew 3 жыл бұрын
I think everything you said is 100% correct - but there is a value in them for the person looking for a heavy duty very simple machine that can be kept running by anyone who has some willingness and knowledge w diesels and hydraulics. Let’s talk basic specs - it’s a mid-large frame machine (233hd) with a 6 cylinder kubota diesel. Easy to get parts for this motor. Hydraulics are simple. No fluff. Would I buy one to run commercially? Nah. Do I use one for my horse farm and part time skid steer work around town? Absolutely. And anything that goes wrong with it can usually be fixed in my shop. No sensors, no wiring, no electronics. Simple stuff. 8000lb machine which can handle 2500lbs in its bucket all day for farm and snow removal. So my 2 cents are - if you are technically inclined, and want an old beast that can work around a small farm, snow.. manure.. holes.. run a brush cutter.. tree puller.. this will do it. But you need some knowledge and willingness to work on your diesel. You turn the key, this thing starts and works.

Thomas was built with off the shelf parts. I have a 90hp for 17 yrs. You do have to figure out how to match up the orig part. They just assembled off the shelf parts. Saur danfoss hydr drove, Kubota diesel, valve body, hoses, chains, bearings, seals are all off the shelf. Much cheaper to maintain than dealing with the Bobcat dealer.

Ok we get it, nothing should leak down!!! It should not smoke after inital warm up and should not leak. I mean the obvious.. But what about how to look for creep issues, worn pins, proper power and feel both at idle and low speeds. And at throttle. You did not cover anything but leaks. Lol

@@Kevin-ik5le he literally covers nothing but leaks,the cheap easy stuff to fix. And engine smoke. All obvious easy stuff. Not one thing was talked about about inherent issues skids have and what to check operations wise. Many people will watch this take it too literal and then miss all the problems as they dont see them while concentrating on the obvious like he points out.

This guy just shows up and collects a check, anyone can sell a skidsteer when the client comes to you. Basically this guy didnt mention how a bobcat will snuff out easier than a john deere, or how good the products are and the fact that if anything was to happen, there is a john deere company just down the road. Didnt mention model numbers, in fact all his review did was hurt sales because first off he says he CANT say anything negative or his geandfather would roll over in his grave, why mention that unless behind the scenes he has some negative thoughts, then his dumbass remembers, im a salesperson, so i cant say anything bad the company might see this, yet never thinking about how trashy he looks with a big dip of chewing tobacco in his mouth, very unprofessional unlike most texans....

@@zacharygagnebin2192 The statement does not apply to some skid steer loaders. However on the newer ones that have over 74 Hp will be required to use def with additional emissions that must be removed to make many repairs making the repair bill more expensive. It is not a deal killer, but it is something to consider. Most companies sell more 74 hp skid steer loaders for this reason.
