logic wouldn't give me the option to choose lfo tool as a software instrument, I can only choose it as a audio effect.. why is that?

Hi, do you remember where you got your Linndrum sample pack from? Your kick sample sounds very clear and punchy compared to most sample packs I find online that's all. Thanks

Thanks! If I want this to keep rotating for a 3-4 min long track, wouldn't I need to rotate back to the original position and then repeat that clip until the song ends? So I can't just have it rotate "how many ever times" but rather know that it's back at 0 / 360 degrees and also work out the appropriate speed (33 rpm)?

I'm new to music production but was inspired to create music because of artists like Brian Eno, The Chemical Brothers, Fred Again... but especially Jon Hopkins. This video has taught me so many things that I've been doing wrong and ways to make everything sound better, and a different approach to creating music. Its so helpful that you take the time to explain everything and isolate every track so we can hear exactly what you've changed. So thank you a lot. This is the first video I've seen of yours but I'm definitely going to check more out!

I would never have worked that out.. its been a while since eI was in the studio, the last time however Logic 9 was just out & I remember that the LFO tool had the side chain option on instrument tracks.. I have been scratching my head as to how & why... but this explained it nicely.. cheers mate!

Amazing content! Would love to hear your inputs on the different plugins that might be deemed as "essential" vs those ones that can be substituted by logic's native stuff. i.e. Valhalla, LFOtool...

I usually just use the StepFx with the "gate mix" configuration. The enveloppe is slightly less precise and there is no display of the waveform but it does the job very well + you can add plenty of others effects and many creative options.
