Software Engineer here: why didn’t the just start with a small batch of crimes at the beginning and see how he responds? Why loading the complete db minutes before the presentation instead of a day before or so? It’s like deploying before a weekend, an absolute no-no. Sorry for the nerd talk 😂

@@XDarkLordXP probably I am! We were never able to process such huge datasets back in the day. The growth in terms of robotics has also been significant. With improvements in cloud computing and processors too i won't be surprised if we see a world where these concepts become a reality.

Because in every movie the overseers of AI are always stupid. We will never use AI for something as cops. And if we ever do there would be a near zero change for a “malfunction” to occur. AI will be your waiter, pay bills for you, clean for you, but there’s jobs we’d literally never allow robots to do.

This movie was so-so, understandably criticized. But a rebooted sequel with RoboCain could've DEFINITELY brought this this to the spotlight.

"Let's do a major system change _just before_ he does a public event..." *That was really stupid.* They could have at least salvaged the situation by giving his family a version of the truth, explain to them that he's had a minor nervous breakdown when he saw footage of his own murder attempt and they've had to give him electronic sedatives. "We didn't realise how traumatic accessing his own file would be, he'll have to work through it and process the emotions, but in the meantime we'll be dampening them down so he won't have a breakdown. We all need to give Alex time, this is a major shock but he will come back from it. He's strong willed and he's got you both to live for. We'll keep you in the loop. But in the meanwhile we have to give the public the impression that he's fine. And between you and me, we don't want those that tried to kill your husband to know that he's accessed the data on the crime. It's safer to keep them off guard." And suddenly Alex's wife goes from a PR problem to a asset, helping them keep the situation under wraps.

Nah, this makes WAYYYYY too much sense, how about instead they just release the strongest, most emotionally unstable crime fighting weapon they've got on the city and just, hope for the best, that seems a lot easier imo
