I just bought a cargo van, did I plan on building out to live in as a camper but I'm starting to have second third and quite possibly fourth thoughts so now as a CDL holder I'm thinking maybe I should just use it for expediting instead. Thanks for all the info!

Yes I paid cash for my van, I say rent it, if it makes sense for you don’t just rent if you won’t make any money instead look into car work and stack your money before getting the van. I did ride share, food delivery whatever to get into position. Thanks for comment

But what if I get all the documents required for me to be over the road and maximize my loads but I hire a driver? Does the documents for all that stuff still apply because it’s my company or does the driver need all of those documents under his belt as well?

When you sign your business up, with a broker who you hire they have nothing to do with it. If you partner with a job for 1099 then whoever you hire they are going to want training for sure and have to fill out whatever documents they want.

When you load your van pass it's pay load limit, you put excessive wear on your suspension and brakes and risk damage to your transmission.
