New subscriber. Appreciate this knowledge. I plan on getting my foot in the door in this business by starting with a cheap van the minimal insurance and doing gig work. All the work in my area is in a neighboring state. Will the apps allow me to work in a different state than I'm insured in?

Thank you for tapping in, being completely honest I say apps like curri and Frayt are hit and miss I would look on cbdriver or indeed for couriers and do gig apps here and there when it makes sense. Take Vin number of the van you want and shop for the lowest insurance based off that so you can have an idea what your overhead is going to be.

Thanks for the support and tapping in with me, most companies don’t want to deal with renters so I’m not sure of who would let you. To find local work you have to use cbdriver, indeed and google warehouses in your area call reach out to shipping manager and ask if they are looking for drivers to move freight that’s how I got mine.
