Hi Scott, lovely to connect once again :) (Not so lovely that you remain battling this issue though.) I stand by my recommendation for you as per 2yrs ago on our call. Taking action if you haven’t already is imperative for change to occur, there’s no such thing as a perfect time sadly. ENTs are different to Tinnitus Therapists but still remain a very important component to rule out pathologies etc. For example I am a Tinnitus Therapist & Clinical Audiologist but not an ENT. ENTs focus on physical examinations and surgeries but not therapy sessions. Tinnitus Therapists focus on CBT methodologies specifically for Tinnitus/Hyperacusis &/or misophonia working with the diagnostic results provided already from the ENTs and Audiologists / other practitioners. Often what is required are multiple specialists (just to be very clear!) There is usually a sequence of appointments depending on the individual/case at hand. They all work together. As general advice (I have not seen your case specifically)- what you are experiencing may be a side effect of increased inflammation which is very common 1-2 weeks prior to menstruating; work on balancing your hormones and reducing inflammation in the body. This may assist you. Most of all, understand the body can fluctuate in a variety of ways/symptoms during the female cycle, be gentle and patient with yourself ♥️.

@@TinnitusTherapyOnline to add to this are you suggesting that women look further into cycle syncing? Cycle syncing helps women better understand the different phases, what happens to our body/emotions etc, suggests workouts to focus at each phase and what foods help during each phase. I personally have been tracking my tinnitus and have found a correlation of when my tinnitus spikes becomes less bearable for example right before my period (the Luteal Phase).
