Very nice list! I pretty much agree with most of the ranks you’ve done. There’s another potential bit of evidence for Skull Kid being the one to block Milk Road with a boulder. If Link clears out Snowhead, Mountain Village will be cleared of snow which reveals a gossip stone that was previously covered up by snow. If Link wears the Mask of Truth it says “A small, lost horse seems to have been taken in by Romani Ranch, south of town” This tells me that Skull Kid teleported Epona to Romani Ranch then intentionally put the boulder there to possibly have Link never be able to see her again or at least if Link did see her, it would be on the final day after the boulder is finally cleared when it’s too late. It’s kind of out there since it would only make sense if Skull Kid expected Link to even reach that far outside of Clock Town when he turned Link into a scrub on the first cycle
@romano-britishmedli740721 күн бұрын
Thank you very much. :) Nice observation about the Gossip Stone in Mountain Village. I too think that Epona was teleported to Romani Ranch by Skull Kid. Him placing the boulder there just makes much more sense all things considered. As you say, he's already in the area (if not physically then at least magic-wise), and it just makes sense with him preventing Link from seeing Epona again. Romani Ranch and the Gorman Brothers probably are competitors for years now, yet this seems to be the first time a boulder is placed on Milk Road.

Link and Saria will be friends forever (: 1:31
@romano-britishmedli740721 күн бұрын
I mean... I too would love this to be the case, but with her being a sage in the Adult Timeline and all that, I think this complicates things a lot. Many years ago I staunchly believed that Link would search for Saria in the Lost Woods (and subsequently get lost, leading to the plot of MM), but by now I have accepted the fact that it is Navi he searches for - since searching for Saria logically makes no sense, as Link always knows where to find her in Kokiri Forest, or her special place in the Sacred Forest Meadow. This I think also sadly implies that Saria couldn't completely emotionally fill the emptiness Link felt after the events of OoT. But they do have a really cute friendship in OoT, I totally agree with you.

@Notartorias211 Yes, you can slow down time, by playing the Inverted Song of Time (every note in backwards order - it's even called this way in the game). In the N64-version, time gets slowed down by times 3, in the 3DS-version its unfortunately less than that (slowing down by times 2). It's really helpful when playing Majora's Mask, and the first thing I do when starting a new cycle. Ah, Ocarina of Time! Another great Zelda-game. Yeah, I get why it's people's favourite.

I could've seen cursing the four regions as end of the world because I assumed many of these races wouldn't be able to prosper in the cursed version of their region but I after hearing your reasoning I agree with Traumatizing. Great video :D
@romano-britishmedli740729 күн бұрын
Thank you. :) I see your reasoning. If we assume the same "What if"-scenario as for the moon falling, meaning that the Giants are not freed of their imprisonment and the dungeons are not cleared, you could be right that many people in these regions could face extinction: - Starving in the cold, the Gorons are screwed! (The most obvious case.) - The Zoras might face a slow extinction, with no new children being born. If we assume a BotW-lifespan, this extinction might be veeery slow in Hylian terms, spanning over several decades. Though inevitable eventually, I think. - Not sure how much would change for the Deku. They at least can hop over poisonous water, so they might somehow scrape by, but if their source of food dies due to the poison, the Deku might face extinction as well, or at least a massive shrinking. - As weird as this sounds, Ikana could be mostly alright? The Ikanans and Garo are all dead anyway, Sakon will live, Pamela's father might die, and for Pamela it could go both ways - she might escape, stay and fend off the Gibdos by herself forever, or die. - The Gerudo could also be relatively alright. They can just continue their pirating. - Clock Town (technically not one of the four regions) could be relatively fine as well (assuming the moon's gone, of course) - though I'm not sure what their trade-relations in material goods with the four regions are, outside of Romani Ranch. Technically we'd have to go region by region in deciding whether it's The End of the World or Traumatizing, but if I had to choose, I'd put it in a low-tier End of the World. Now that I think about it, this could be a great idea for a video. Maybe I'll create one in the future.

While you did say you would ignore mini games, I still think some should have counted. The poe sisters, butler race, and the fight against the huge skeleton dude seem like they could have been done anyway, unless you can't do them again after doing the reward? I'm not sure I ever tried. Beaver race I can see ignoring though. Taking a picture of Tingle and giving it to his father could possibly count as well. Does the hungry goron get enough strength to get off the ledge once spring happens, or if he still in need of help? I forget. Also without your help the races are still closed due to the boulder being in the way I think, though maybe that doesn't count.
@romano-britishmedli7407 Жыл бұрын
Good points. There's definitively enough time to do all of these (maybe with the exception of the beaver-races, depending on how good the player is), which I think is the main part and argument of this video. Now that I think about it, I'm not sure why I excluded these - maybe I just forgot. Especially fighting Captain Keeta (which I did), racing the Deku Butler and taking a picture of Tingle don't take much time and can easily be dealt with inbetween some other issues (after clearing Woodfall Temple and bein in the Southern Swamps are good times for this). I too am absolutely unsure about the hungry Goron - I will test this in the coming days. I think you are right as well about the races still being closed.
@romano-britishmedli7407 Жыл бұрын
Okay, I checked it out: The hungry Goron is gone once you defeat Goth. The frozen waterfall he's standing in front of is melting, therefore there's too much water for him to remain there. Don't know if he appears somewhere else afterwards.

I mean it makes since for there to be other villages since the maps of zelda games (especially the older ones) don't really represent the whole in universe area, the kingdom of hyrule in ocarina of time doesn't rule over around 70 people max, not until twilight princess when we see a fair example of a large population with castle town, and nothing comes close to accurate in universe maps than breath of the wild/TOTK with its map with hundreds of people and several towns, so having locations in universe but off the in game map makes since because of just basic game scaling and game limitations, nice video though.

I've recently looked back into this mission and while I've always deemed it a high priority side quest in the game, I think it's become the most important for me, not necessarily because completing it is immensely satisfying like the Anju and Kafei storyline, but because of how much more horrifying inaction is. Because Cremia's life sucks no matter what the end event is, you get this odd sense of comfort on the third day seeing Cremia making sure Romani is having the best night if her life before their likely demise. Especially when you consider the alternative of a traumatized (and likely lobotomized) Romani sitting at the table, probably unable to think or say much of anything and Cremia forced to look at what her not believing her sister did. She knows that she's going to die now, but that's almost the better solution for her now because she's got a mentally ruined sister and failed family farm otherwise, as dark as it is. One thing I've thought about is if Link would've stayed at Romani Ranch like Romani suggests on the third night. If after defeating Majora and saving the world, Link would've returned, even for a few days to rest, and if Cremia would've found out that this young boy, this boy who protected her little sister and their business, is the reason her line of "See you...tomorrow." came true. I wonder if Link would've been a forgotten hero then...
@romano-britishmedli7407 Жыл бұрын
Aahh, perfectly well said. While I objectively have to rate the Anju & Kafei sidequest as the best one in Majora's Mask, this one at Romani Ranch comes a very close second. It's just as meaningful and deep of a sidequest as the wedding. Link staying at Romani Ranch is a very interesting scenario. I think it could alleviate a lot of problems Cremia and Romani face.

Tatl is way more interesting than Navi or the King of Red Lions (they're both very bland and mediocre in my opinion, when we remove the whole King-thing from the talking red boat and rate him purely as a companion). I recently played Phanto Hourglass and found Ciela to be a quite enjoyable and likeable character. Eerr, anyway, back to topic. I once heard someone call Tatl "Proto-Midna", and I honestly think it fits a lot and describes her very well.

It was Weissman himself who was Joshua's contact person. Weissmann put a spell on him to forget. He explains all this to Joshua in the scene in the end. That's the reason he is everywhere they are. And he also puts spells on other people to forget his face. Hence the name faceless because they can't remember his face. He basically does that to Estelle.
@romano-britishmedli74072 жыл бұрын
Oh interesting! I somehow completely missed the possibility that the contact-person could have been Weissmann himslf. It just sounded to me like Weissmann was talking about a third person, who was different from Weissmann (and different from Joshua, obviously). Joshua tells contact-person -> contact-person tells Weissmann - that's how I always thought it was. I'm just confused why people would remember the name "Weissmann" when thinking about their loss of memory and this mysterious person they talked to. The screen in SC, when Estelle tries and fails to remember Professor Alba, blurs out not only the face but also Alba's name in the dialogue-box after he did put a spell on Estelle. This is evidence I think that Estelle in particular didn't remember a name "Weissmann (the Faceless)" - so why should Kurt, Richard or other people remember this name when Estelle doesn't? It just doesn't make sense to me.
@Weirdwolf812 жыл бұрын
I don't remember all the details, but he was probably talking about himself as Alba. If I remember correctly Joshua sometimes gets headaches and that's because his memory of their meeting was erased. Weissmann just chooses what they should remember or not, he's just called the faceless, not the nameless. I guess he chose to erase his name from her because of her strong connection to Joshua. If she could give the other bracers a name they would know.
@romano-britishmedli74072 жыл бұрын
@@Weirdwolf81 Hm, this possibility totally slipped my mind. Yeah, Weissmann choosing what his victims should forget and what they should remember makes sense.
