Instead of the Diamond Jig why not throw something top water or a crank bait hybrid like the Salt Strong Skinny Lipper. Like that it'll stay on top then dive as you retrieve less snags. I say this cause my soul died when you lost both diamond jigs 😆. I hate losing tackle.

I was at the canal and the inlet and I only catch a cold 😂, I m tempting to go the barnegat inlet to see if togs are still there or go to round valley reservoir for trout, if thinking of going to any of those to places let me know

Listen, you MUST be careful with your Battle Reel. It's a good reel. But problem is, it isn't Sealed. So the seawater will get in your gears etc and completely rip it apart. You were definitely wading too deep with that reel so it needs to be cleaned now. Take the time to take it apart, clean it out, and grease it up. If you like Penn, then try the Spinfisher
