Fantastic video! I really appreciate all the time you've taken to post these videos as they are incredibly helpful to get started. I know it takes a lot to make these but would love to see what you've been working on more recently.

You can also use VUE 2024 by e-on software to create skyboxes.

Thanks so much Caleb, really great to see how you are approaching this and I've learned a lot - even though I'm trying not to use code as much but rather to create just visually. How do you think about this no-code approach?

You have to enable developer mode in privacy and security BEFORE you can connect the Vision to XCode.

Thanks for this. When I set up the audio scene, I used Reality Composer Pro to assign the Atmosphere sound to the AmbientAudio entity, thinking I could bypass the need to link the resource. But I don't see that the API is set up to do that, which is weird to me. Is there another way to do that?

Subbed! Thank you for having such a detailed and well spoken explanation to all of this! I am a 2d/3d motion graphic designer- so basically, I am not familiar with code, I will not be able to create much with Xcode, correct? I understand most of Reality Composer Pro environment and asset creation. It's when I go to simulate the things I make in RCP that nothing happens. Nothing shows up. I never wrote a single line of code in my life lol and am def coming from a visual artist industry. Any tips for someone in my situation who would like to create videos with contextual 3d elements being called up in certain key points of my films? Almost like an immersive documentary like the one Gucci made on AVP called "Who is Sabato de Sarno?".

Nice video, thanks for sharing. Do you have any idea how to keep the audio from coming from the View without using RealityKit? We generate 3D audio internally and use AudioUnit to send audio out. Unfortunately Apple is adding their own 3D processing to our output such that the audio always sounds like it is coming from the View.

Subscribed! .. Question sort of off topic buy maybe not. You've created an unlit skybox. Can we create a LIT skybox? I need to light up my 3D objects evenly all around which is what happens when you open a USDZ from a file or from other apps like polecam. But when you open them from Xcode in the goggles, they react to the light in your environment and if you're inside a skybox, they're very dark (or can be). How do we solve the lighting issue here?

Caleb, thank you for these videos - very helpful, much appreciated. I'm running into an issue when trying to use 360 photos created using an Insta360 x3. When attempting to load the 360 image as a texture the following error is thrown: "NSLocalizedDescription=Image decoding failed, MTKTextureLoaderErrorKey=Image decoding failed" Any thoughts on why the issue might be?

Man, thanks for making visionOS specific content! Apple’s Docs are not super intuitive, so having a clear walkthrough of the code and seeing it running is super helpful. Any chance you could demonstrate working with videos in immersive experiences, more notably how to transition from a video player component to a defined window size within an immersive space?

These are awesome tutorials. My question is how can we make fully immersive scenes like the Avenger’s Tower and Monster Inc. scare factory floor from Disney+ app? And yes, I dictated this from inside the Vision Pro.🤓
@calebwinningham9 ай бұрын
Awesome! 🔥 And that's a great question--I've been working on that for some of my own projects and the long story short of it is more or less layering items to create as much detail as possible for the viewer. Mt Hood is a great example. They more or less have a skybox with stars, then a layer with a mountain, then a layer with trees, and then a layer with trees a little close. That's all build atop a layer that serves as a floor vs being in a sphere. Then they have a few rock objects and the water layered on top of that to help provide more realism and info for your brain to process. Once I get to a point where I can get a scene that looks half as nice as that I'll make another video haha.
