Lore wise, the Castraferrum Pattern Dreadnoughts (The box Dreadnoughts) were used in the era of 30k too. They were smaller, rudimentary and easily repairable because they were designed for Tunnel fighting and ship boarding. And because it is simpler in terms of technology, it's about the only one that stood the test of time since 30k till now. Except for the new Primaris Dreadnoughts

I have this and the Gusion (or however you spell it) and they are a total little and big brother combo. I have the expansion set to convert it to the Land Man Rodi but I want to find a second one and then repaint it to the correct orange. And yeah IBO was a great show and I definitely cried at the end

What is the Warhammer base length for this

I recently learned that you can make your own crackle paste with something called diatomaceous earth. Mix it with PVA and water. Maybe some pigment if you want color. The benefit other than very cheap / volume is that you can mix it to a consistency that you want and it should still work. The channel Tabletop Workshop has a video on it. It is in German, but has English subtitles.
