Ahh epic video brother - I really REALLY enjoyed that, and it kept me company while doing my own hobbying.... love the tips, testing and suggestions you make - that hobby cardboard for basing is genius! Also yes, I know what you mean about anxiety and depression and "going under the covers"... you are not alone... keep sticking at it bro and you'll win!

Great update, Zero! Lots of hobbying techniques to think about. I'll need to take a look at the AK Texture stuff. I tend to use Gel Sand Paint for a lot of my basing. It goes on clear, then a little paint and wash and it's worked for most of my historicals. I do, on occasion use GWs Stirland Mud to get the thicker, muddier effect, but for the most part, use the gel sand. Great idea on the preprinted cobblestone for basing.

AK interactive have a good variety of baseing pastes so im gonna try another one more common and see. Anywhere you can save in this hobby is great, not just money but time. Thanks for watching brotha.

with that crackle stuff, the less costs and more point doesn't mean much if it all ends up in the trash anyway lol I love the paper basing stuff. You can pick up rolls of bricks around the holidays at wally world too. it might be a little off scale, but with brick it's generally fine as long as it's close enough

Agree 100%. Money is important to save most definitely but so is time for me. I still use traditional baseing methods but every little bit helps.

I recently learned that you can make your own crackle paste with something called diatomaceous earth. Mix it with PVA and water. Maybe some pigment if you want color. The benefit other than very cheap / volume is that you can mix it to a consistency that you want and it should still work. The channel Tabletop Workshop has a video on it. It is in German, but has English subtitles.

Ive heard of it too I was debating on whether or not to give it a try. I might still just to see how it compares. Thanks for the reminder!
