Dad had a black 48 4 door Plymouth in 1963 to 1966 . 👍🏻I’m not a fan of the wheels 🤔🙁. The air cleaner is way to small as your engine works like an air pump . All the best in your project 👍🏻🇦🇺.

I am sure that a 6.8” would not work without extensive modification to this frame. And even then, to make it look there wasn’t a lot of cutting would be almost impossible.

The reason i need the numbers off the bearing (if anyone gets a chance) is because ford only sells the whole hub and will not give you any part numbers for any part. If you want to buy the bearing (and probably can), the only way to get any part number is if it is on the bearing itself.

Can I put rtv in the pump housing and then the gasket?
@therustednut
@therustednut 4 ай бұрын
Do you mean use RTV along with the gasket when installing the thermostat housing? I would not use both. Gaskets are meant to seal without RTV and I’ve always been of the mindset that you would just now create two possible leak surfaces. I would use one or the other, but not both. And make sure if you do go with RTV, it’s high temp.

Hey love the video! I have a 4 door version. Trying to make mine more reliable. Would you mind sharing what kind of oil filter setup you are using and also how you went about converting the carburetor to take a paper air filter? I’d really appreciate it that’s a great looking car!
@therustednut
@therustednut 4 ай бұрын
So I bought a universal oil filter relocation kit from Amazon and just used the existing ports that the original bypass filter system was using. As for the air cleaner, it’s just an aftermarket unit from Autozone with the proper neck diameter. It’s an off the shelf unit where all the aftermarket stuff is.

the speakers might not be "the best", but they were only meant to handle 10w (25w max). Bose factory speakers are much worse for such a well known name... question, did you remove the plastic vapor barrier before pulling off the door panel or was it already off/missing? another question, any issues with the telematics unit not seeing a 8ohm load on the tweeter? or are those tweeters 8ohm?
