Installing new speakers into my 2016 Subaru WRX!!!

the speakers might not be "the best", but they were only meant to handle 10w (25w max). Bose factory speakers are much worse for such a well known name... question, did you remove the plastic vapor barrier before pulling off the door panel or was it already off/missing? another question, any issues with the telematics unit not seeing a 8ohm load on the tweeter? or are those tweeters 8ohm?

The plastic vapor barrier was still there but it had been pulled back by the previous owner. As for the dash speakers, they are a midrange speaker that is specifically made for Subarus and Toyotas by Kicker. I’m not sure what the impedance is on them. I haven’t had any telematic issues since replacing the stock head unit with an iDoing last year and have had no issues with these speaker replacements.

Good job on the install, simple and to the point. My front passenger side is going out as well, I too have the seicane/idoing headunit. Will be ordering the exact speakers as you did. Thanks!

I love this iDoing unit. It was pricey for a Chinese aftermarket unit but it has been flawless for over a year now.
