This sounds like a fun experiment. It's not in the cards for me at this time. I'm a simple man, and my senses of smell and taste have been altered by an old work injury. Guessing flavors would be shooting in the dark because subtleties are lost on me. I like what I like and can't really explain much of the tastes or smells. Most days I enjoy a pipe on my drive home, and it's become my time to finish off blends that I don't necessarily dislike but won't buy again. Currently I'm working through my last bit of Sutliff Proper English, which was wife approved initially because it smelled like a leather workshop, but after a few months of aging began smelling like unpleasant old neglected leather to me, and so got relegated to truck use only. On weekends I have few opportunities for a pipe, and that's when I return to one of my top favorites. In particular, when I want to get lucky, my wife finds the lingering scent of Boswell's Black Cherry on my beard to be irresistible. Thanks for the bonus video! You're not as idiotic as you think!

I have a guess but I’m not sure my notes lined up with yours. Spoilers below #1 - Burley for sure, but I got cocoa and molasses. I think it’s Sutliff match Ready Rubbed and is exceptional. Great with coffee. #2 - Burley but dark fired. Floral, licorice and some sweet molasses or rum smell. I haven’t tried because I am a nicotine lightweight but my guess is a Lakeland. GH Dark Scented? I’ll give it a go and see if I get the apple cider.

We think, both blends we’e new to us…of course, we thought the same about what turned out to be Haunted Bookshop, and we literally smoked it a couple weeks previously. 🤦🏻♂️One day we might actually mail these blends…but that day wasn’t today, lol! And you really should! Great way to explore new blends, for very cheap, and not having to invest in a full 2 oz, only one! And for $8, do it! 😂

@@lugburz7539 lol, we have no idea what we’re talking about!! 😂 But it was interesting, the tin note was very burley forward and didn’t not smell like an aromatic, but then the taste was very sweet and the smoke became quite pleasant. Reverse aromatic was about the best thing we could think it would be called. About 99% sure that isn’t a thing, but now it is! You’re welcome! 😂😂

Beer for breakfast - finally some good leadership from this channel. Two great tastes that don't taste great together? If you like chocolate in your tobaccos then you will probably really like Boswell's No Bite Delite. I find the Missouri Meerschaums to have plasticy bits that I don't like - I replace them with forever stems from Vermont Freehand. Respect that you are a firefighter! I apologize for the positive nature of this comment - I promise it is me typing this. I think the phrase you were looking for was "The 3rd half" of the pipe. If your beer warms up then you are drinking it too slowly? My gosh you guys a truly givers. House phone? Really?

@@PiperDave2023 Right?! Breakfast beers is never a bad thing! It took it a minute to mesh together, but as both the bowl and beer got warmer, they really started to complement each other. Apparently, stouts, when you drink them slow and allow them to warm up, they get better…at least that’s what Jeremiah claims! Maybe that’s why I prefer lagers, they are great cold and are meant to be drank cold! I don’t want to have to wait for my beer to warm up. Are the Vermont forever stems that good? I’ve debated getting one to try it, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. And for chocolate tobacco, we really like a lot of Boswell’s blends, but haven’t had that one yet. Thanks for the recommendation! Thanks for the kind compliment! I was wondering if you had been hacked, but nice recovery!! And bahahahahaha!! Josie phone? Who still has one of those?! The last time I had an imperial stout was over a decade ago and I can't remember the name. It was delicious, and inexplicably the brewery stopped making it. If I can locate KBS I will definitely try it. Thanks gentlemen! Keep your socks dry and the embers glowing!

Definitely worth a try! Now, I’m not buying cases of it, but I’ll certainly keep it around, for an occasional dessert drink and smoke. We appreciate YOU!! Cheers and happy smokes!

It is a different tobacco, from how it packs to the way it burns. Was not expecting the inside of an old mattress filler look and feel. Anyways. Worth a try for different.

Sounds like a good pairing. I enjoy Founders Breakfast Stout over the KBS. Breakfast has a little less abv around 8% and doesn’t have the barrel notes it is also a little cheaper. If you can get it is worth a try.

Jeremiah likes the KBS better, for basically the reasons you don’t like it, mentioned above, lol. Founders makes some good beer! I love their Coffee Porter most so far. But all are so good!!

We tried fixing it in post production, but the app we used jacked the color and quality of the video all up. So we just had to go with it. I got a call from my package store and they are getting in the three Horse Soldier bourbons. Is their standard bourbon good or do I need to go up to either of their premium two?

The first tier(Straight Bourbon) is ok, but not so good I would buy it again for the price. The second tier(Small Batch) is a lot better, and is a lot of people’s favorite. The third tier(Barrel Strength) is my favorite. It’s a little hotter, but much more flavor complexity. This is what I experienced. Nose: Smoky oak, vanilla, butterscotch, allspice, ginger. Palate: Vanilla, oak, toffee, cola. Finish: Spices and charred oak.

I love some Epiphany. Have not had any that is aged, but I do have some aging. Only 1.5 years on it so far. As long as it was in a new charred barrel for even 1 minute, it can be called bourbon. Also, my cats do not like your lighter with the PING. The are all rather annoyed at me right now.

I tried Epiphany for the first time a few days ago. Mine was only about 2 years old. I was a little disappointed at first that there wasn't more Latakia, but the further I got through the bowl the better it tasted. Pretty darn good.
