Sir I have this lens on my Nikon d610 This is sharp at 28-45 but after 50 to 75 it's not giving sharp image and little bit motion blur type background blur and not sharp images And I was shooting at 200 above shutter speed How can I solve this
@JohnYoungPhotographer Жыл бұрын
I am not sure what could be going on. If you are using a fast enough shutter speed when using the longer focal lengths then that should help but you do still have to be very careful with how you hold the lens and camera steady as the lens does not have image stabilisation
@Thorsanbauer Жыл бұрын
What technique do you use to keep the image sharp since there is no VR
@JohnYoungPhotographer Жыл бұрын
Hello 😁 - I always make sure to follow the rule of the shutter speed being faster than the focal length I am shooting at. So if at 75mm make sure my shutter speed is at least 1/125 or higher

Dear, congratulations for the review and for the channel. I am with a doubt and I need your opinion. When I try to focus in the automatic mode used on a Nikon D7000 it works perfectly, but when focusing using the Liveview mode (camera screen) it does not focus (does not work). I want to know if it is normal, if it is a matter of a configuration error or if it could be that the lens is damaged? Thanks very much,

This lens is perhaps one of the best zoom lenses that Nikon has made. The speed of the lens is somewhat irrelevant with the dynamic range and high ISO speeds of today. I got one for under $50 US and the image quality blew me away. I shoot for fun and therefore I can't justify any fast lenses. This lens has become my favorite tele zoom. Quality build inside and out.

im a D500 owner (which i totally love) ..im just trawling through old D610 videos now that the D610 is available new for £550. i wouldnt trade the D500 , as its a completely different beast. but im seriously thinking of swapping my wife's D7100 for a D610 and moving into full frame for some of my work.
@JohnYoungPhotographer4 жыл бұрын
The D610 is a good camera for sure. I used it loads for weddings and my wife still uses it to get candid photos on the day with great results. Especially when she pairs it with the 50mm lens. The only reason I started to use the D750 over the D610 as my main camera was the D750 is better at focusing in low light.

I completely forgot that I own this lens. Used it in the '90s, attached to a film body. Havent touched it since before I got my first DSLR in the mid 2000s. I sold my 70-200 f2.8 VR a couple yrs ago and havent yet replaced it. Got the wild idea to dig this old girl out, put it on the D500 just to see how it looks and was surprised to see the pics were just as sharp as my more modern, faster lenses. The film body, sadly, will probably never go back into service.
