I haven’t made it to Costco (in Auckland) yet. I have been avoiding it because I know how much I’d spend!! Great to find another Vblogger in Auckland I watch so many hauls for other country and I’m like “the price” how is that so cheap and “the variety” we just get used to the price in Auckland and lack of option. But it’s improving.

I did!! Although because she came so quick I hemmoraged too much blood, ended up in surgery afterwards anyways 🫣 I’m so glad I was at hospital!! But I loved the water for pain relief. It was a cool experience.

Hi Ingrid!! Loving the video...I have a baby girl on the way in just a couple more weeks! I know this video was a little while back but I have a 1 inch thick pad that goes to my delta children changing table and needed to know what size squares to cut out for 1 inch??
@ingzing
@ingzing Жыл бұрын
Hi! Sorry this took me ages to respond, I’m barely here anymore ( babies lol) I’m guessing this is more of a flat changing pad? Still I reckon the measurements would work, so the square you would cut out would be 2x2. Hopefully that’s right :) congrats on baby x

I wish Pak N Save did real bulks, like 6kg packs and stuff. I truly think Pak N Save and The Warehouse co-operative-alliance would work out well in terms of buyng power. It would give them access to bigger bulks.

I must say that it didn't look like that much for $169 food prices are way out of line I live in nz I I always say we get ripped off in this country we have some of the highest food prices in the world its a wonderful why people live off processed foods here as it way to expensive to eat well
@ingzing

Totally agree with you. Food is just so expensive. I still think eating out, even fast food is more expensive than making it at home..Just getting my kids happy meals the other day was $20 and they were starving an hour later 😒 I don’t know how people are surviving with the cost of food atm!

Are they? I dont buy bread, and few vegetables if at all. This means I can eat filling animal and animal products which are vital. Its all about prioritising foods which satiate over processed stuff. Theres actually a reason certain ingredients are added to foods, they tend to make you hungrier long term and cause leptin derangements. The "full" feeling hormone.

The carrot cake is delicious. It’s the same that’s sold at wholesalers like Bidfoods (actually at the same price). Slice it whilst frozen into smaller pieces and then take out and defrost as necessary. Or go to your local countdown as they sell it in smaller sizes.

How about a stuffed date. No chopping needed. Use cream cheese and stuff a date, then sprinkle nuts or paprika....nice and easy, and is a nice snack...or you could take it up a notch and wrap the stuffed date with a thin slice of cooked bacon or Prosciutto.

I love costco from my experience overseas BUT one store in NZ wont make a huge impact on the biopoly that has existed here for decades... yes it might force the stores close to costco to drop their prices but until costco are in all the main centres then packncountdownnewworld gang will just spread their profit loss across NZ or even put up prices in their other stores throughout NZ to compensate.

Thanks for sharing! I noticed that after moving to the equator, I haven't really felt the vibes of Halloween, and then I realized that besides the fact that it's not part of the culture here, it doesn't take place in autumn, where the days are shorter and darker, it's chilly, foggy/misty, the trees have shed most of their leaves, giving you this creepy atmosphere. Let us know how it is in NZ, since Halloween takes place in spring, pretty much the opposite of the spooky vibes you have in autumn
@ingzing
@ingzing Жыл бұрын
I agree with you, after living here 12 years this is really the first year I’ve felt moved to celebrate Halloween for those reasons. But…I think it’s a cross between having kids that are an age that gets excited for Halloween, and also the weather has been so bad lately it’s almost like being in fall 🤣 It’s gotten me more in the mood. Also the stores have put out so much more decor this year than I’ve ever seen, obviously it’s a huge consumer move but it’s working on the public I think, since a lot of the stuff is flying off the shelves. I miss the real autumn terribly though 🍂🍁
