Nice catch. Last time I fished Puddingstone was 1966. No bass just trout, red ear sunfish, and carp. Few years earlier lake drained and fish killed to get rid of junk fish before development as a regional park. Looks like fun.

There is a monster in Crystal. My buddy and I saw it with our own eyes on the bank closest to the long stairs. I truly dont think it was a LMB. If anything a rogue Cat is in there. Wasnt shaped like a LMB and was far too long. Maybe a carp but its in there brotha. Oh shes in there.

Place sucks carnal go to Clark yorba best two in oc perro. I fish em weekly. An fun fkr the kids non stop bites. Especially Ralph Clark. Suerte. Should grab some spoons as well. Try super-duper outdoor. Un Chinito and suburban trout spoons. Bad ass spoons.

Quick tidbit. The real lake in Friday the 13th is called silver lake. It’s in hope nj. I’ve fished it a few times. Tight lines out there! Great vid

Oh nice! When I went in June it looked like it had some water damage after the winter. A small water channel cut through it from the rain. The picnic table look like it sunk down like 4-6 inches. However they were cleaning it all up the day we left. When we booked our spot. Spot 1 looked like it was booked. I asked the camp host about it and she said they had to do maintenance on it so they marked it as unavailable. So if you were able to book it you should be good to go. I think you will enjoy the spot. It was still very secluded. Idk when you are going but I read the swim beach will be closed Labor Day weekend because of water run off from last weeks storm. I would double check with GLV recreation. It was posted on their instagram page. Just an FYI. Have a great trip and thanks for checking out the video 🤙🏽

@@BY-we6kx no the dock is just for pick up and drop off. You can fish the rock jetty on the left of the video thumbnail. If you want to fish a dock, across the channel kinda behind the wedge there is a public dock. If you Google pubic docks in Newport Beach I think 4-6 dock are public.

Nice Vid 👌 I just booked a couple of nights kind of a local get-out of the daily before my kids head back to school. Then, I did a lttle more research after the fact and noticed the 5 FWY yards away from the site and then Amtrak 😲 then looked up on Google Earth and saw how cramped the site are, nope had to change the reservation. I noticed they have the San Mateo campsites that are part of the Onofre campground park yet are a little more secluded and private Still close enough to take a short drive back to the Ocean side part of the park. Hey, maybe next time you can check out the San Mateo side. Looks like you and your fam had a blast. Cheers from Temecula

How was the weather up there overnight? I thought about camping there but since it’s like 7 thousand feet up I was wondering bout how cold It was. How bout bears? We just came back from mammoth. We had a bear come thru our campsite at 1am and toss our bear bin over. It was dope. 😆

This trip it wasn’t bad it got into the 40’s. Last year it was freezing we got in the 30’s. I have camped here 4 times and never saw a bear. I always ask the camp host when we check in if they have had any sightings. I would have been terrified if a bear came through camp…..

Going for the first time to fish there next week. Do they allow fishing all over the lake as long as we walk there or just parts of the lake?
