Now, while they are paralleled, turn one generator off so that you can simulate one running out of fuel and let us know what happens.

Thank you. I've been looking online for backup generators and was wondering about 3 vs single phase power.

Very impressed that the waveform is even cleaner than utility power.

In that zigzag configuration it looks like two windings are in series with each other. That would probably increase the source impedance of the generator making that leg more susceptible to Distortion from poor power factor loads.

Great video! But next time please note socket sizes as you use them, would be really helpful.

Hydrogen is not just flammable ,It is highly explosive ! I have personally seen 2 batteries explode and heard of another, one of the explosion caused battery parts to penetrate a wooden ceiling that was 20 feet high !, I am a welder and I would not ever do this, I also have a US patent on safety jumper cables that will not operate unless hooked up correctly

No issues with coil-bucket contact? I've read content about how just spacer lifts cause coil-bucket contact due to wheel travel.

inventors is that to hard to invent a simple, cheap battery bank to be conected to electricity all the time when we are using the battery bank to weld, meanwhile we weld, so we never be out of charge and the welding machine will be in operation all day!

How did you get around the 400hz to 60hz
@MattVerley
@MattVerley Ай бұрын
There is no easy way to convert a 400 HZ generator into a 60 HZ set. I didn't have to do that, as all of the generators I bought were already 60 HZ sets.

It's probably designed off of the old M16. Try an M16 bolt carrier group. It's odd that it would be long since the takedown/pivot pin holes lined up.

How to you wire to get the 208 i dont understand each leg has 120 how do you connect then to get 208 ?
@MattVerley
@MattVerley Ай бұрын
Because the legs are 120 degrees out of phase, you don't just add 120+120 like you would in a split phase system (where the legs are 180 degrees out of phase). If you put a voltmeter between any two hot legs of a 120/208 wye 3 phase system, you'll get 208 volts. I explain this visually with an oscilloscope beginning at about 7:50 in the video.

I have seen another video where the guy did not remove the hub from the axle; rather, left the hub attached to the axle removing all as one. Is it better to remove the hub first or does it really matter? Thanks! Great video.
