Have you completed the "Orcish Emancipation" quest? For the Totem quest, you have to complete three specific quests, two of which you definitely completed, but I'm not sure about the third one.
@MetroRPG26 күн бұрын
To be honest, I don't think I've finished that quest, and I'm unaware of how to attain it. I read somewhere that if I rejected a certain quest, I wouldn't be able to get that quest. I have no idea how I completed this game years ago, lol
@DakotaHarmony26 күн бұрын
@@MetroRPG The main quest works very confusingly in this game. Try talking to Mynisera in Daggerfall, she should give this quest, if not, then maybe you haven't completed some other required quests. I would recommend checking the information about "Orcish Emancipation" in the uesp. Also, read about the quality of the stores there, because you often sell items to those that offer the lowest prices. The small text that appears before you enter a store hints at the quality. The lower the quality of the store, the more profitable you will be able to sell.
@MetroRPG25 күн бұрын
Thanks for the info! I'm definitely going to try talking to Mynisera, and if not, possibly Gortwog. I just hope it's not impossible for me to get those quests.
@DakotaHarmony25 күн бұрын
@@MetroRPG Okay, so I quickly watched all your videos, again, and I think I know what the problem is. You haven't completed Cyndassa's quest. She's in Daggerfall Castle, in the room on the left. After that, you will be able to complete Mynisera's quest.

Thanks for the info! I guess I'll head to Daggerfall next video. I suppose this is what I get for trying to complete the game without a walkthrough, haha.

Yeah, I somewhat regret turning on smaller dungeons, even though they're still pretty big. The main quest dungeons remain unchanged.

@Kaedevirus In the future, I plan to do a permanent death playthrough in Daggerfall, featuring darker dungeons and other mods. I'll definitely leave the bigger dungeons enabled for that.

Reminds me of castle darkmore in might and magic 6.... Or something from marathon..... It's absolutely painful but In the future painstakingly trying every path and mentally keeping track of where you have been is the only way to find the pathways out of darkness or into them if that's your thing.... Regardless good luck
@MetroRPGАй бұрын
Might & Magic 6 has been in my collection for a while, but I've yet to experience it. I'm looking forward to playing it soon for this channel.
@DuransurikАй бұрын
@MetroRPG most of might and magic 6-8 dungeons are far more sane and it's pretty straightforward in a lot of ways but the combat is a lot more advanced for the time... The class, party and skill systems give you a lot to think over when leveling up and character building... You still got hidden doors and the like but there is a skill (perception) that can reveal them if you are high enough level in perception.... I could go on but half the fun is figuring it all out.... I would recommend the might and magic merge mod called world of enroth, it puts 6-8 all into one game, giving you many more classes and skills to choose from ect ect, and has optimizations none of the games had.... Double speed button for the long walks back to town, more quick spell buttons and so on.... The mod is entirely faithful to the original games short of a new quest that gives context to why you can jump between the different games and the loot pool has been merged (you can find swords from 8 in a chest you open in 6) it doesn't effect balance so much as increasing verity of found items.... The mod even adds customizable enemy scaling to keep combat a challenge.... As for your content I'm intrigued, I'm in the middle of watching a first time playthrough of Morrowind right now but I'll be around, thanks for the reply
@DuransurikАй бұрын
@@MetroRPG hmm YT seems to have eaten my reply so the cliff notes version this time... Most Might and magic 6-8 dungeons are much more sane then this, but the games have a complex skill and class system that gives the player a lot to think about when leveling up and character building... For the time. I would recommend looking into a mod called might and magic world of enroth, it merges 6-8 while being very faithful to the original games but has optimizations and customizable enemy scaling to keep combat a challenge... As for your content I'm intrigued... I'm in the middle of watching a first time Morrowind playthrough right now but I'll be around
@MetroRPGАй бұрын
Do you recommend Merged for first-time Might & Magic 6 players? I'm familiar with the essential Grayface patch. Funnily enough, I'll soon start Morrowind on this channel. I'm still deciding on a character, as I enjoy developing their values and personality beforehand. I'll also continue Daggerfall until it's finished. Thanks for watching!
@DuransurikАй бұрын
@MetroRPG @MetroRPG The RP is half the fun, too many players and game devs forget what RPG stands for and that at the end of the day, the player putting there own spin on there characters is like i said half the fun. As for the world of enroth is entirely faithful to the story of might and magic 6,7, and 8 adding only one quest. It pretty much gives context to why your party can go from one game to another. So a pretty easy recommend there....If you aren't interested in taking the same party to another game its very easy to IC write off the quest giver and his letter as the ravings of a mad man...Mechanically the mod runs in might and magic 8 the most refined of the 3, spoiler free version is. if being disallowed min maxing bothers you, don't play World of enroth first (it's more of a function that you won't know the games, then being hard locked out of certain things forever but it might feel that way.... I'm not very good at this being vague stuff) if you want more classes skills spells and more roleplaying freedom by extension, I would recommend world of enroth to a first time player .... As long as they can accept that they might choose a class or a skill that isn't part of the game they start in and having some jank related to that fact

There IS a quick save function in Daggerfall Unity. Open the options screen/controls and go to advanced at the bottom and you can set the quick save button from there. Mine is set to F9. I agree with you that Daggerfall is one of the best Bethesda games and that it's been downhill since Skyrim. Did you see Wayward Realms? the tem that made Daggerfall are currently creating the spiritual successor to it, called Wayward Realms. It was on Kickstarter a few months ago and absolutely wiped the floor with it and has been successfuly funded. I participated in that myself too, so I'm really looking forward to it. It looks really promising too.
@MetroRPG3 ай бұрын
I'm really looking forward to Wayward Realms - it's shaping up to be a fantastic RPG! While I enjoyed Skyrim, I still think Daggerfall and Morrowind are the gold standard. Skyrim was Bethesda's last truly great game, in my opinion. Unfortunately, Starfield and Fallout 4 didn't quite live up to my expectations - they felt more like fun action games than immersive RPGs. I still had some fun with them, but they lacked depth. To be honest, I think that's a problem with a lot of AAA RPGs these days - they prioritize action over storytelling and player choice. Hopefully, Wayward Realms will be a return to form!

The thing with well balanced low detail graphics is that your mind fills in the details. It's like abstract art. It provokes a feeling rather than depicting something exact. I always loved the artistic expression that is required to elicit emotion from very few pixels. I know some people are clamoring for an MMO with Daggerfall level graphics and I understand why. Less can be more when done with perfect artistic intent.
@MetroRPG5 ай бұрын
This game definitely evokes a lot of feelings. It feels like a different time, not just a different world, pulling my imagination in many directions. The game makes me think about all the small events happening in that universe, the locations we don't hear about, and the lives of the people within the game's world. This is something the later Elder Scrolls games fail to invoke with their superior graphics and NPC rituals. It feels like you don't know anything, yet you understand its world's history-a world always deeper than its history. As for MMOs, I totally agree. I'm really tired of MMORPGs trying to be the next World of Warcraft and failing to capture the feeling of "adventure with friends." I crave an MMO to play, but I always end up exhausted and bored with them, apart from a few exceptions. We definitely need more creative indie MMORPGs. If you know of any, feel free to let me know, and I'll record a Let's Play on it.
