yeah I had these on my house and a guy with a $45 cordless angle grinder sliced right through them while I was on vaca and robbed me blind.. nice idea but nothing stops crime

Yes, an angle grinder is about the only thing that can penetrate them. The hope is that a grinder causes so much noise that a neighbor might help out by calling the police at that point. It would still take several minutes grinding on them to get through. Really sorry that happened at your home.

@@budgetblindsoffederalway The thing that bothers me is not that you can cut through them but the fact that all videos online and all salesman don't point it out to the buyer. I run an entire KZbin channel from my back yard in a residential area.. power tools every day and no-one blinks an eye or calls the cops. so why would someone call the cops over an angle grinder being used for 5 minutes.. which are quiet by the way on this material. I am looking into these screens for my mothers home which is what brought me to your video. I know how easy they are to breech but I am concerned for her getting older and any extra deterrent would help her get to the phone and call for help. I will be discussing the screens on several youtube videos on my channel with my 12k subscribers and I will be honest with them . I believe they have their place obviously. you can cut thru bullet proof steel with an angle grinder So I am not putting the product down I am simply going to give my viewers the truth so they know. The wand that hangs down has a port that you plug your charger into...just like a cellphone. You typically only need to charge the shades 1-2 times a year.

I purchased HD luminette blinds for my patio windows. They are overpriced, flimsy, the operating controls are not adequate, they don’t close together tightly, fan out at the bottom. Everyone - investigate other options, other manufacturers. There has to better, more robust similar solutions that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Do your due diligence. HD Luminette is overrated and overpriced.

I've just ordered these and I love them but one thing nobody shows is what an individual vane looks like separate from the whole thing and that was the hardest thing for me to understand when the sales rep came because there's so much going on and you only see a little sample.

Purchased in 2015 for all my bedrooms and it has been nothing but constant failure. Only recently had a repair man come in, again to repair it, again only to have it fail, again. And get no support but the run around. Dont waste ur money on shit products. Unbelievable. Depressing really.

The Hunter Douglas Duette Light Lock System, showcased is our video here, was actually released by Hunter Douglas in November 2018, so I believe the window coverings you have will be a different system. That Somfy remote on the wall is for the customers exterior shades not in the video...the LUTRON picos are right next to it. Good 👁 !!

The living room shades are light filtering. In the bedroom they are considered “Room Darkening” or “Blackout”. There is an inherent gap on the edges of roller shades that this home owner was aware of.
