Opinions on 7mm PRC? I’m looking to buy my first bolt action and first gun in a proper hunting caliber. 7 prc seems like a solid flat shooting powerful cartridge with good options for standard loads. But i’d like some input from more experienced hunters.

I love my 243 savage model 110e with wooden stock and have open sights but I have a scope on it. It's around 50 years old. I put a checkered wood stock on it and took the slick wood stock off it handles better that way.

Tree is frozen and all mags do that. .308 will do the same thing in a small frozen tree. But yes, mags hit hard.
