I’m from New Hampshire. I sure am glad we don’t have a no hunting on Sunday law here. I feel bad for hard working folks that have weekends off don’t get to hunt as much as they deserve. I could go further with this protest post, but, I’ll leave it there. This was amazing footage. Really great job, Casey. Thanks for sharing it with us. Now I’m gonna go and clean off all my drool. Wow! What a buck!!!

So I watched this video yesterday morning . I was run down from hunting the last month and was not seeing deer and was very discouraged. I finished my coffee threw my gear on and decided I was just gonna go slow and still hunt a spot were I had taken deer in the past. I came through some thick stuff I grunted a couple times before coming to a walking trail by a brook. Decided to take a few minutes and watch the sunrise and listen to the woods waking up I turned around and saw a buck coming to get a drink and gave me my opportunity. Nice 8 point not a giant but restored my faith in myself that I was were I needed to be at that time. You helped me restore my confidence in myself thank you.

No Sunday hunting... How stupid for that to even exist anymore. I have dealt with the same here in PA... A few years ago they passed a law allowing 4 Sundays a year for the game commission to delegate. This year a total lift on the ban nearly passed and it's expected to pass next year. I hope it does! And I hope one of you can get on that big old boy! That was a great buck!

This is the suck part of being in ME on a Sunday!!!!! If you’re bored and don’t wanna sit around camp this invariably will happen to you. No Hunting on Sundays sucks!!!!! I’ve stopped even scouting or driving around due to this. Fun yes frustrating absolutely!!!! Buy the $113 NH tag and drive an hr + to avoid this from happening. Great buck on video though!!!!!

Im sorry but he would be on the pole . I say that and there are so many hunters especially in Maine that would take him today go to there buddy that works or owns the local gas station or his uncle cuz granddad step inlaw whomever and say I shot him last night couldn't find him till this morning . It happens all the time I go and scout without a rifle just a sidearm for protection on Sunday I see trucks parked like it's Saturday and hear gun shots all the time atleast a handful on a year I hunt alot . Yes you got lucky on this Sunday morning you know he is in the area

i dont get it. i have a beautiful 8 pointer on my cam a few different times. ive been all thru the woods behind my house looking for him this yesr nit even snowed today and for the life of me i couldnt cut a track. but you guys wander around everywhere and just film buck after buck after buck. idk what in the hell im doing wrong. im in the mountains of maine. i scout. do my research as much as work allows and i cannot seem to get a racked deer. i can call in young does all day long. and i have called in bucks before but i have never killed a buck. 🤔

@ The issue comes up every year. Maine has “recreational trespass” which means that you can hunt on anyone’s property without permission unless it’s posted no trespass. A lot of landowners say that they will post their land if Sunday hunting is allowed because they want one day a week that they can go on their land without worrying about hunters (getting shot). The large land owners in the Great Northwoods that allow hunting have made it clear they are against changing it so rather than risk losing the ability to hunt there, many think it’s better to leave it as is because having the ability to hunt on someone else’s land without permission is more important than being allowed to hunt Sundays.

Exa​ctly. The Adirondacks are great but they are comprised of large tracts with tough access and some logging. Maine offers vast areas to roam freely with tons of access and more logging. Great system.
