I have a paved driveway. It looks nice and might not crack but roots, if any trees nearby, will eventually make it bumpy. And the weeds are never ending!

No HOA? Try again. You rent from the government and Property tax is your rent that they can raise whenever they want. And try doing what you want on their property without permit and permission😂

Hm interesting point of view! So maybe you can look at it like a savings account… it holds your money, it increases in value yearly, and taxes would be like your annual fee. 🤔

@JSGInvestments if homes always appreciated but you have to know when to sell and be able to sell. In our case we didn't sell on the up because we wouldn't be able to afford to buy anything else. We could have sold for 400k a year ago, now it's closer to 3.

It's ok but don't like open kitchen. Need walk in showers in all baths. 2nd & 3rd BR closets too small. Back porc h needs to be length of back of house. Fence allowed? Would screen the front and back porch.

Very dated. Horrible exterior color carried into interior. Mismatched appliances. It seems very dark. Near the river? Elevation? Flood potential? Big tree in front needs to be trimmed away from house. Age? Probably needs new windows, AC, electricity, plumbing. Insurance will be PIA. Can you have a fence? $545k ? No! $150k at least in reno

11:28 This is why I bought my lot specifically thinking about views, privacy and neighbors years ago during the market crash when people where surrendering their lots for taxes. I'm going to eventually build owner-builder, but it's hard to find a Florida architect/engineer who will work on small owner-builder projects. Also the Florida house building permit process is so prohibitive and requires teams of people and what seems like years.
