imo if you focus on the game mechanics and quality of life aspects it could be game of the year in my book since the art style of buildings/units and UI is already perfect and if the envirement has that stylized breath of the wild style its GG

Let me see if I understand your pylon solution. Normally pylons grant a buildable radius and an increase to max units. Yours grant construction buffs to a radius, while allowing for expensive building outside the radius? Super clever. I wouldn't have thought of that.

Looks good! I always thought it would be cool for a game to use pixel art for the characters but voxel art for backgrounds and stuff. Keeping that kind of pixel style but in 3d. Just a thought. nice work!

It looks good, but I don’t see what the card system adds to the game. I’m assuming you’d have to swap cards in and out, and use them up as you build things. Right now they act the same as most other RTS’s and don’t really add anything other than their theme. Perhaps you could discard the cards as you use them. Unit cards could have a multiple use limit so drawing an infantry card for example can be used 50 times before the card gets used up. Then you could discard cards you don’t want and draw new ones for some specific resource or cost. That would add a lot of decision making to the game. For example, the player might get a second town center card well before they’re ready to build it and have to decide if it’s worth keeping it in their hand for a long time, or discarding it to get something more useful in the short term. It could also make players build more diverse armies instead of spamming one unit over and over.

I actually thought about limiting the uses , I also want to shuffle the player hand on a day night cycle along side adding new cards to the deck, i wanted to add them me in the third devlog ,so stay tuned for that and thanks for watching ❤️🙂

Looks awesome. My only suggestion would be to make the "floating" moving card effect toggleable for accessibility reasons - may make people feel a bit motion sick.

@@Hosein_sunflower might be very hard to add multiplayer later in development. I dont know about RTS. I am doing a turn based strategy in Unity so its a lot easier to do multiplayer, but I have to develop pretty much everything with multiplayer in mind. Anyway I believe in you the game is looking epic!!!!

Good luck on making your game ! Your small demo reminded me of Bad North, you should definitely try it if you didn't, to get a grip of what worked and what didn't work on their game, since from what I get the concepts are pretty close (small RTS with special powers/Balatro-like modifiers)

I must admit i was doubting after your first 3 attempts but you surprised me positively! That pathfinding through another group of units was very smooth! I've gone through a similar process with my own pseudo-rts tribal game in UE5 and also started vlogging the progress :) good luck!

Ive been having a hard time setting up autoattacking for units, what approach did you use? Pawnsensing or onoverlap?

If there's any enemy in agro aura Ironclad switches to combat state In that state he choses the nearest target and follows it until he reaches the attack range and then he just attacks on a timer based on attack speed That is my implementation Also thanks for watching man , it helps a lot 💛❤️🌻
