Thank you for the video and the replies to the comments. I am going to attempt this mod on my board. I order all the parts. I didn’t, however, get that you needed 2 chargers from the video. Glad I read the comments. I just went and ordered an additional charger.

@wheeze18922 жыл бұрын
I plan on doing this to my board, however I was just wondering why you only drilled until you saw red? is it for structural integrity? Or is it just so you dont pierce the grip tape? When I do mine instead of using the threads like you did, I want to use some nuts and bolts that will go right through the top of the board. and when it comes to charging, since its set up as a series I should keep the batteries at the same charge at all times and charge them at the same time or disconnect the battery connector before charging one at a time, otherwise I could risk an explosive fireball of death, right?
@pjhudsonjr2 жыл бұрын
if you're drilling through then don't worry about the red- that's just to stop before the grip tape. for charing, I keep the batteries connected but charge them both at the same time to full using two separate chargers-- what is important is that you plug both chargers in at the same time and you keep them both plugged in until both batteries are charged to full. Do not unplug either charger until they are both full. You should only charge one at a time when they are physically disconnected from each other, and don't plug one discharged battery into the battery that is charged== very dangerous.

@pjhudsonjr2 жыл бұрын
I just leave them on the board and charge them both at the same time to full charge- the main thing is that you keep the chargers plugged into the batteries when you charge them and do not pull the chargers until both are charged fully. Leaving the chargers plugged into the batteries keeps the esc disabled so the imbalance between the batteries has no effect. That is why you always keep both chargers plugged in until both are full charge. Even if one charges faster than the other, do not unplug it. If you only have one charger then you disconnect one battery from the other first then charge then both one at a time to full charge. Only reconnect when both are full charged. If you need to ride with one half charged and the other fully charged then use only one battery and then switch to the other battery after depletion.
@SubaStar24 Жыл бұрын
@@pjhudsonjr what if you have 2 chargers and the other charger supposedly charges faster than the other? can you still plug both chargers to both batteries and let it charge till full then I can turn the esc on? or since one is faster than the other, i would be able to charge them both at the same time connected?

@pjhudsonjr2 жыл бұрын
They must both be fully charged--- DO NOT, I repeat-- DO NOT let them be unbalanced in charge at any time... this includes when you charge or discharge-- if they are connected to each other they will discharge together equally, this is safe. If there is every an inequality in charge and one is unplugged, this can lead to explosions, fire, and death.

Couple questions How much more miles / range did you get after you added the extra battery? When you charge do you plug in just one battery and it charges both?
@pjhudsonjr3 жыл бұрын
The range is double- could be anywhere from 20 to 30 miles depending on how you ride. For charging, you need to charge them separately with you chargers plugged into each and at the same time... Do not unplug one charger while the other is still charging- they both have to be fully charged before you unplug the chargers - also you need to plug the chargers in at there same time, or one right after the other. The only way you can charge one at a time is by disconnecting the batteries from each other (the xt60) and then you can charge then separately at different times but never, never connect both batteries together if they are not both fully charged - I encourage you to read up on L ion batteries and the dangerous situations in charging and connecting in parallel

Could you please show how you plugged in multiple inputs to the looper? There is only one instrument input, and I would like to do what you did with guitar, bass, piano, etc. Thanks!
@pjhudsonjr8 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark, on the RC-50 there is more than one instrument input. There are stereo instrument inputs, L and R, which can be utilized as 2 separate inputs. Also, there is an xlr mic input, so you can hook that to a direct box to add another instrument (or a mic with an xlr cable). And there is an 1/8" aux. input that can be used with a 1/4" adapter to plug in another instrument. Finally, there are midi ports that can be used to control an external machine connected separately to a mixer. So you have the potential for 5 instruments (four going through the looper and one being controlled from it) with a little bit of creative connecting. That is how I did it.
@Yak00b10 жыл бұрын
Do you have to plug in each instrument by hand when you want to use it or is there a way to keep all of them plugged in and ready to go?

@basswiz909 Nothing is equalized except for the mix adjustments I made before recording the vid and my adjustments on the fly-The best EQ happens in your rehearsal and as you're playing-good musicians with experience are able to equalize themselves with whatever they are playing with by their pick, pick-up position-you'll notice I changed the pick-up at one point), tone,dynamics, fx, etc.-- when I play live I'm constantly equalizing myself in every way possible to keep and enhance the mood

@frypod18 Thank you so much. I am a Telecaster diehard. In my opinion they are the best guitars ever made, incredibly simplistic-no whammy bar, just 2 pickups-3 pickup choices-only 2 knobs, volume and tone, short neck compared to the strat- but it's sound is extremely diverse and can be used for every genre of music if you are paired with the right amp. It's pretty easy to both "lose" it's signature sound and "use" it's signature to sound which is helpful depending on the style you're playing.

@Yahoomediaclub Hi, thanks so much for the comments. The first drum loop is from the rc-50 itself, there are pre-programmed beats to choose from- you can start and stop them with an assigned pedal. The other beat that comes a bit later with the full rhythm is from my Korg electribe ES-1 synced via midi connectors on the rc-50-the midi isn't full featured but it does send tempo sync, stop, start messages.The electribe audio output was sent to a mixer, I was out of inputs on the RC-50.

@basswiz909 Hey man-- yeah, as for inputs, there are 2 stereo inputs (which can be used as 2 separate inputs), an aux input (1/8" which, I used a "bass in a box" headphone amp for the bass which has an 1/8" output)- and an XLR microphone input, plus the midi I/O that you can use to control another machine (like the korg ES-1)-- I was pretty creative with how I used the inputs in this video. @basswiz909 Hi- I used just one RC-50 but connected a Korg Electribe drum machine to it via midi in this video. The RC-50 takes some getting used to, the thing about the RC-50 is there are ALOT of options for looping and it's a matter of figuring out which way is the best for you-- (quantized, unquantized, multi-phrase, single phrase- loop sync, free sync) it can be daunting at first and frustrating until you understand the different options and how each one works. @TranslucentPlenum If I understand, your signal flow is placing the RC-50 in front of your FX/amp? like a direct box where you want to split the signal. I don't think you can do it that way. I would advise using your amp/ fx in front of the RC-50- plug the line out from your amp straight to the RC-50 inputs or place a mic in front of your guitar amp and plug it into the mic input, then send the outputs of the RC-50 to a separate speaker or mixer. RC-50 should be last in the signal chain.
@TranslucentPlenum14 жыл бұрын
I just can't figure out how to direct sound to specific outputs so I don't distort everything because I'm using my amp to distort the tracks. So, instead of it distorting the track I want, it distorts the loop coming out of the amp. Adversely I figured out how to keep a loop coming out of the speakers via secondary output and not from the amp. but that's just the loop; however, the sound continues both outputs even though one is souly for speaker and one is for the amp so you'll hear both tones.
@pjhudsonjr14 жыл бұрын
@TranslucentPlenum HI- The Eguitar is plugged into a line 6 POD XT, which is plugged into the RC-50 stereo inputs., but I think I was just running one side (into the input) so I could use the other side for the acoustic guitar-- something like that. the distortion is coming exclusively from the POD XT.
