My old patch 😌 my my how Stratford has become unrecognizable both buildings wise and track layout wise. I remember temple mills in the mid 70’s with the depot and LIFT , my great uncle was a fitter at Stratford shed on the steam . In the 1990’s I covered the Mobile Ops from Hackney downs to Broxbourne .

No problem with the music, can understand there will be reasons why the cab mike can't be turned on so music is better than silence. Agree some captions would help.

Really enjoy these films. Now retired, I am learning so much about our railways, good and bad. When I was a kid growing up we didn't have the internet, just phone boxes, so how great it is to see cab rides nowadays! Love it. Thank you.

First job after passing as a Driver in 1976 at Stratford MPD was at Temple Mills on 08s hump shunting; Got lost after Channelsea Junct until Leabrige Rd; Stratford MPD gone, both Freightliner terminals gone, Temple Mills hump gone, Leyton Ballast hole gone. Everything changes😢.

Is it necessary to go into freeze-frame mode every time you superimpose text? Destroys any sense of continuity and detracts from the video, which otherwise seems fine.

@captainjohn787 Thank you for watching as I made this to help with my route learning of the routes and the job entails mostly possession work so I did the pause so I am able to clearly Identify signals that protect level crossings as this can be a SPAD hazard within a possession but I do apologise for the first one onto the main line I don't know why I did that one

Another enjoyable video. For me personally I prefer the cab sounds and any banter as it adds to the experience, if you are not allowed to record that then fair enough. I think all your previous videos have had the balance just right

I can understand silence and/or music if the crew object to a mic in the cab, if that was the case. As I have commented before, these videos are always welcome and a cab view of lines you have travelled, give a totally different aspect to the journey. Anyone who does not like the sounds (music or train rattles!) is always at liberty to turn their sound off, I suppose. I enjoyed the views, as always, thank you.

Though I prefer cab ride videos without music, it's still a cab ride video regardless and that's what I enjoy watching from you. Despite my preference to not have music, I respect you trying different things and changing things up a bit. Well done though mate! @taxineil1 Yeah I don't know why I did it when first pulling onto the main line at Colchester but as for the pauses at the signals I have done this as a trial on this video as these need to be known for drivers that work in Possessions and having a pause at these points lets it stick out more and take note of its location and distance away from the Level Crossing but depending on the feed back I get from them will decide if I keep them or not for the next video when I make it

I remember travelling on Peterborough - Norwich services (Cl 31 + Mk 1 carriages) around 1980 that used the West Curve to avoid a reversal at Ely. Pretty sure the curve was double track then.

We are restricted to the lower line speeds and a max of 60 Mph, it doesn't matter if we are pushing or pulling the trailer
