I'm not sure but I don't think the N64 version looks much better than the SNES or SG versions.

Good thing about no chapter breaks: you get to keep your weapons and items between episodes. A fun twist on the progression, makes the game easier to blast through for fun.

I rented this and had a lot of fun. I used to use the NWO truck.

I still play this all the time. Not terribly good at it (and still haven't unlocked Luigi and Ness, dammit), but I just remember having so much fun. My high school boyfriend had it and there was usually 5 of us hanging out. The N64 was the best thing ever, and we did a "dibs on loser" when it came to turns--whoever got 4th place in the fight gave the controller up to the person left out of that round. About every half hour we had to stop and untangle the controller cords. I love SSB because it was the ultimate equalizer game (like mario kart 64). Luck could be a huge factor, and even folks like me who weren't all that great at video games could enjoy the hell out of it and sometimes win.

2024 here. I agree. Its not great. But i know Nintendo, and theyre giving us free games in updates instead of charging us full price. Nintendo likes your money more than they like you. So, you know. Its nice theyre even doing something.

I got 3 that I can share; I never liked or cared about the PS1 or any of its games. Indefinite towards RPGs (super picky anyway)and don’t care that much about fighting games or horror games. I guess the N64 just appeals way more to me. Everyone craps on the N64 controller but I find it comfy and unique, there’s so much you can do with it. It’s perfect for FPS, 3D platformers, and action adventure games. My 3 favorite genres. No problem at all with it being a 3D console but I really wish there were more 2D games, they would have looked great.

I could never abide by how muddy N64 games looked because of the aggressive antialiasing. Legends on PS1 may have been rougher looking, but it gave it more of a 3d pixel art style adding to it's overall charm, and that was further enhanced by it's prequel, and sequel both keeping the same style, but with better modeling work. Overall a Gem of a series, that wasn't accepted well at release, but has a loyal fanbase, and commands a high price if your looking to get your hands on physical copies of the games. The N64 version is by far the inferior version because of all the sacrifices made to stuff it onto the N64 Still Can't forgive Capcom for cancelling Legends 3

My cousin (13) rented this game from Movie Gallery when i was 9. I remember finding the "BOBBYBIRD" cheat code and the cow gun so well.

I came to a dead end in the beginning of the game. Nothing to jump on, no option to climb, retraced my steps and continued to come to the dead end...mabey i got a defective game i thought and never picked it back up....😆....and i paid 89 dollars for it back in the 90s.
