Hi there. I was called to this video for some reason and it turns out you had the message I needed to hear today. Thank you! I’m also beginning to read the Bible and the instructions you provided for the verse mapping process as well as how to navigate Bible Hub will be very beneficial for me on this journey. I just love how the Lord works. Many blessings to you and yours. 💕

I have been doing verse mapping for a long time off and on without knowing there was a term for it, or knowing anyone else was doing it. Lol I love your video. First time on your channel. I also loved your personal applications of this verse. Especially the best before comment. I can relate to what you have said here, and I am thankful for your willingness to share it with us.

How can some things in the bible be literal and some not? Isn’t that just making excuses?
@strongwomenofgod
@strongwomenofgod Жыл бұрын
Hey Jonathan that's a great question. In relation to this video, I think it's meant literally, but it has context from which we cannot divorce it. My main point here is to make sure that we understand the context. In general, the Bible is a collection of various types of writing and various types of writers. If you were to look at the Book of Psalms for example you would find that there are many metaphors - that is because it's a book of poetry. If you were to read the book of Leviticus- a book of laws you may find less. The scripture I use in this video (Timothy) was a letter- meaning it had a specific audience. So we should read it as such. The original author did not know when he was writing that all these letters would be collected and put into what we now call the Bible. Hope that's helpful!

Thank you so much for sharing, I only recently discovered that there is such a thing as a Prayer Journal. In my Christian journey I have always felt so deficient in my prayer life so I thought that creating a journal might be the step I need to improvement in my prayer life. I have looked at a few but still couldn’t find a way forward or wasn’t sure exactly how it would help me. A few hours ago I came across another demonstration which was helpful and now yours has spoken to me from a more realistic or explanatory place so I will revisit and compare and I may be encouraged to either add or extend what you have given so it’s a good place for me to start. It is almost 3:00 a.m. and I didn’t intend to not complete this exercise. As I said I am going to use your model maybe as is or with a few additional areas that speak to me. I am most grateful for your commitment in your walk with God and in helping others to get there. Very well thought out, great ideas. One final query do you go through the entire items every day or you choose specific areas to concentrate on in any given day. Not sure on that one. You’ve been so helpful keep on inspiring and helping all of us on the same journey. Most grateful.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment. I'm glad this video could help! I typically take one or two sections per day. However in the past when I had more time, I would dedicate 5-10 minutes to each section and complete it in one sitting. I think both ways can be effective and it's all about the season you are in.

Great video! All glory be to God!! Thank you for your insight! Even though I’ve read this scripture a hundred times before it was helpful to review different versions as I’ve never realized before that the saltiness can also mean seasoned/seasoning. As Christians we talk a lot about different seasons of struggle we go through and to apply it to this scripture, such as to be seasoned in struggle, to be strengthened from trials, makes us more seasoned as Christians (more mature) and more effective as a seasoning to others. Where as encouraging long suffering and faith building! The salt has many meanings and it’s amazing to see just how deep God’s word can be when we truly examine it and seek Him! 🙏🏼💕

Thank You for posting this on verse mapping video. This has been the most helpful video so far. You took the time to explain calmly and that you actually said to take your time and do a little day by day. Here I was trying to do it all in one sitting thinking it didn't take that long before I knew it three hours went by and more frustrated than ever that I just quit. Oh yes and no" You Need To Buy My Journal and Download My Instructions for this amount"

I loved your video!!! I’ve been journaling for a short time now, it keeps me focused. I’m a organizational nerd and have many journals started for various themes, I do like your small binder and I own it in pink, with lined paper and tabs! Never started it because of my other journals. My thought/question during the video is when you pray every day, do you follow all that you have in the tabs??? I also liked very much your day by day prayers. Hope you make other videos, your sincerity and love for Jesus is dominant.

That’s great Phyllis! I have lots of journals too! When I first stated th is prayer journal I did every step just so that I could learn a rhythm. But once I got comfortable I skipped around. I also found that some days I’d stay in sections longer than other days. It is all about rhythm! Good luck journaling and thank you for the encouragement!
