I got the battlepass mariner a few days ago, it's definitely fun as cas because of 8 1000lb bombs, but it's really annoying to use because even if i go off the throttle to 0%, as soon as you pull down even the slightest, all wings rip off... Btw, in one video i saw a setting that makes your plane keep flying at the same angle when in the bomb drop view, so it doesn't stabilize. Do you know the name of that setting?

So, hear me out. Most players would play this plane just like any other plane and try to use it as an altitude fighter, but I’ve been playing with it quite a bit and I’ve notice that, at low altitudes, like I’m talking really low to the ground, this fighter becomes something completely different. You can get quite a few kills just by being sneaky and flying low with the F2A

I almost certainly watched this video when I started playing the Reggiane series... And agree- I only use WEP if I'm in an emergency. I generally climb at 100 and use around 93 for cruising. I treat-a her nice, and she treat-a me nice. What a primer to the Saggitario! I'll be flying these for a while getting ready.

Idk why people claim this bird has a terrible climbing rate. First tip in unlocking the f6f: Learn what the craft is used for and not what you want to do. Yes if you turn fight you’ll end up with crap energy and zero escape. If you BNZ the death out of this craft it smokes. It’s the supercharger only lends to its BNZ power. You can clear 1km climbing in mere seconds. Set up from the top. Be the highest bird in the sky. If there’s no bombers to pick take time dive build more energy and smoke turn fighters underneath and zoom out. You have to really dive though. If you’re not maintaining 650km horizontal speed in the chase down you’re useless. Everything about the f6f is energy. If you kinda have energy fighting down then it’s bang average at best. If you take the time. Get to the height you actually should be, it’s an easy line up and string together multiple targets over multiple levels. If you drop from a point at an angle then zoom out at the same angle you will return to your original alt. That’s basic physics(interia) specifically.

The sound of the 4×20 mm is Fantastic and the plane looks so good with the big chin under the prop.

is there a way to change the radiator % and not the prop pitch? as someone who been playing this game for over 10 years and mainly playing jets i am returning to props recently and If i set up the controls for radiator it also applies to prop pitch. I want to leave prop pitch at auto but i wanna be able to adjust the radiator manually. but i can’t figure out how to only do manual radiator and it not also turn on manual pitch. Thanks for the good video and ignore my abhorrent wording i’m typing this on my phone while walking to class lol

I never use this beauty for bombing but in pair with my mate we drop the bombs right away and first climb to hunt for enemy bombers, then we deal with climbing fighters, then we dive into the fighters' meele. Thus we go gradually up-down and add more firepower to our fighters. We use bombs only at the later stage if there's no other way to win so we have to outbomb surviving enemy bombers. Or to provoke the enemy to attack us while we destroy it's assets from the extreme low altutude, hoping that our fighters will help before we perish as the bait, so communication and fingers crossed that other fellas are tactical is the imperative. In situations where there's 4 of us flying this gorgeousness we spread and each hunts for one bomber, if there's only 3 bombers 1 of our fellas reports "I'm gonna dive to help fighters" or he catches our bomber miss or deals with climbing fighters first. If he survives we try to converge to help him and coordinate as much as we can to help our fighters. Since we cripple or wipe out enemy bombers adding at least 1 fighter kill per plane releases a lot of pressure from our team that's unaware there are bombing fellas who play air supremacy and not dive bombing. Like Jokić in basketball our mixed German-German-Romanian-Serbian crew goes for the team win and not for individual achievements. The winning stats go up, kills too. Individual achievements in war mean nothing, team means everything.

Honestly to make the P400 more effective change convergence to 300m. This allows the 30 cals to be effective and shred opponents long after the 20mm and .50 cals are depleted. P400 is really a niche plane and it's very difficult to make it work effectively without extreme discipline and good target selection.

God I HATE this plane! That said, I think somewhere, somehow, there is a secret to mastering it. There must be!
