When I went to see Dr. Atomic at the Met broadcast to our local theater, I joked "Well, I won't be humming the tunes on the way out," To my surprise, I went out singing this, and Oppenheimer's epic "Batter, My Heart." What a beautiful song, though I suppose Adams is pushing from his atonal, minimalist genre into tonality, beautiful anyway, and why opera lives on.

Beautiful voice but the upper notes are disconnected from the rest of the voice. It is like 2 different voices.
